i think the reason it looked funny was because she was on the wrong trot diagnal. But it was ur first time riding so u didn't kno. good job =)

I'm sorry but this was no way your first lesson, sorry hun but the proof is in the video..you had the correct diagonol in your trot which takes a couple of lessons at least to get bang on, and you were on the right lead for your canter, soz but I find this very hard to believe!!!

That is a beautiful horse and you are a very good rider!!! One quick suggestion i have is to ask him for a headset. He is so pretty, but he held his head too high, and was often bent to the inside. My instructor always tells me to wiggle my reins back and forth, alternating hands to ask your horse to come round in his neck. Once you have that ask him to tilt his head slightly to the inside, and you will feel and improvement and your horse will look even nicer than he already does!!!

and if insead of letting him run and then canter wen he brakes..slow him bk to a balanced trot with a half halt then bend the flexion the way ur lead should b & as Horseygal97 said inside leg at the girth and outside behind &BAM..perfection

omg..derbys so cute iwish i was small so i could ride him haha..not trying to b a B*&%$ but tips i dono how long u'v riden for but. if u use ur inside leg to push him out and the inside rein with some contact to bend his head ull get a better lead and transition . .....

Nice riding but sit 2 steps and rise on the outside leg. You're a bit bouncy at the canter when you're about to bounce try leaning back like you're in a rocking chair it'll help you sit much better. I had to learn this from watching other riders and it took me a while. When going into the canter put your inside foot on the girth and your outside leg kicking behind the girth it'll make the transition easier. Otherwise well done
