Sellers also need receipt as a proof of purchase for a lot of reasons, more so than the buyer. For example when going over the financials and for taxes. And in case you didn't know, it's mandatory for companies to keep every single receipt or any proof of transactions for up to 4-5 years back in time for any investigations that could accur.
