  • I always hated seeing this at Century Theatres, since some random dramatic music from the next commercial starts playing.

  • This one never froze but the new sprint one freezes constantly

  • @jmass67 I work at a movie theater and this "freezing" just means that the projectionist is late in starting the movie. As soon as he/she starts the movie, the que will tell the other projector to take this off the screen and show the movie and also it switches the sound from Non-Sync to DTS/Surround for the movie and the trailers. If this screen freezes for too long, you should let the management of the theater know.

  • plz customer at regmovies for more help

  • hey guys do you want subscribe my movie and silence and regal poilcy trailer

  • nice subscribe movie

  • plz subscribe my movies at regal peoples plaza ne,

  • plz be quiet subscribers no text watch your regmovies plz subscribe

  • i like this because it scares me when im in a dark room alone...

  • Does anybody know if they still use this as their opening at Regal Cinemas ? I haven't been In the longest !

  • @TheSurfinbird21 They do use it, but it now says "Sprint". Also, depending on what kind of movie you see, you may get a Regal First Look 3D varrient. You MAY BE SURPRISED on what comes on afterwards...

    IT'S THE ROLLERCOASTER TRAILER!

  • @TheSurfinbird21 I work at Regal and yes we still use this. It's just that it's now sponsored by Sprint.

  • Kerasotes used to have a similar trailer reminding patrons to turn off their cell phone, though the only difference is that they showed theirs, until at least sometime in 2009(and at least a year before AMC officially took over all Kerasotes theaters). I'm slightly surprised how similar this is to the one Kerasotes used.

  • i remeber this used to scare me.

  • I always love sitting in the theater hearing this little musical thing... thinking about how many people are still wondering if their cell phones are on... I say we put out a jamming signal in all theaters during the movie!

  • hell yea. ncm all da way

  • wow this is so cool just like the AMC

  • I love this music so much...

  • I just loved this back ground music

  • that always freaked me out...

  • this is so relaxing to listen too

  • I see this at Edwards in Mira Mesa

  • I just love this promo

  • I had this policy tralier when I went to see

mamma mia! back in 2008 with my cousin.

  • Isn't this what they play as they switch over to the trailers?

  • yes

  • I love the music in this trailer.

  • The piano sounded nice.

  • i keep waiting for an announcement that "the doors to your right will open automatically".

  • Its freakin' scary! I dunno y, but it is!

  • There was a short cell phone policy trailer from the movie:"Robots". Can b seen on DVD. Hilarious!

  • lol, twice in eugene valley river regal cinemas 15 this thing went all the way to the end of this clip

  • Hah, the Regal near me here in Atlanta played this right to the end on the midnight premiere of "Terminator Salvation." They actually began to project the film while the digital projector was still playing this!

  • When I went to see Fly Me To The Moon 3D, this froze for ten minutes. One of my family members went out and told a manager that the movie froze. Then, the first preview started.

  • sounds like the sims. I hate those new silence your cell phone commercials, the ones where they are being random, like the monkey who has the obnoxious agent, or the guy who is making a movie. Then everything stops and a loud ringing.

  • the reason its so long in the end is so they can pause (freeze) it and switch from lcd to the film projector.

  • why upload this video? hahah

  • can you get commercals that play before the movies

  • Comment removed

  • they do this at cinemark sprint anyways except it freezes every time I go and i go alot!!! Century Theatres Des Moines

  • Kerasotes uses this too.

  • the sprint one doesnt have the soothing bass :( i miss the bass in projection now :(

  • moochman2222 they want it to be relaxing. It's subliminal hypnosis. They are trying to force you to shut off your cell phone and who know what else. Probably trying to get you to buy the largest tub of popcorn too. If you listen you'll notice what seems like the hum of a speaker on loud or static. That's not a hum or static, it's subliminal suggestions. This is the sort of thing I hate.

  • well it works!! am at home and i just silenced my cell phone, lol, i feel retarted! :P

  • is regal hiring?

  • Haha. regal is always hiring, but no one ever get hired. lol

  • you tried? lol

  • this scares me when i go to ua theaters. i dont know why.

  • maybe because the music creeps everyone out. including me. : (

  • yep. the worst part is that its in a loop so it plays like 4 times

  • yeah, i work for REG, used to be AT&T now its Sprint... much better commercial now ;)

  • sprints song is more relaxing i think

  • i work 4 dis company lol. its sprint now

  • yeah i remember them changing it like 3 weeks ago

  • LOL i think that everytime i go to the movies that that is relaxing LOL

  • If no one knew, here are all policies that I think Regal had

    1-Cingular

    2-AT&T

    3-Sprint

  • Can someone upload the Cingular one?

  • Haha!!! YES!!! The Cingular one had the BEST background song

  • This one is kind of boring compared to the rollercoaster on a filmstrip they once had. But the music is nice though.

  • yeah its a relaxing little sound

  • Does anyone know if the back ground music has a title or artist or if it is available on CD or the internet. It is very relaxing

  • It depends on the technology at your theater.

SOME of the theaters with Digital projection set the timers in Doremi.

Our theater does not due to differences in the pre-show end time, It doesnt always end at the scheduled start time.

When we double up auditoriums with different rated movies, they start at different times as well.

We manually start all of ours.

  • yup, another reason for us is just because of the frequency of last minute interlocks and issues that may pop up with the film (brainwraps or other issues). Just yesterday we had 68 re-ads to give out because one of our film was about to tear itself in the projector so we had to stop and re-thread it really fast in the middle of a movie.

  • Hey wmf1489 !, There is ANOTHER UPDATED REGAL ENTERTAINMENT GROUP Policy Trailer That Runs Before this one that welcomes You to The Theater. It mentions The Regal First Look, Please Silence Cell Phones, and The Regal Gift Card, and/or Regal Crown Club. And

If You Know the one that I am talking about, I am just wondering If you happen to have a copy of that Policy Trailer? I like that one, too.

  • That one isnt an updated one, its just the Regal specific policy that plays right before this one. THIS ONE is AT&T's policy.

I have no idea how to get a hold of that one.

If you search youtube, you can actually find a video that has a portion of it as part of a directors reel for the guy that created it.

Surely you could ask him for it.

Ive been wanting to, But i keep forgetting.

    Ha-ha

I beleive you'll find it if you search for "National Cinemedia"

  • wmf1489, the video got deleted. (Maybe terms of use) Can you upload the Cingular version of this?

  • Comment removed

  • that regal first look is pirated and copied from the AMC first look! dam regal! trying to copy and steal from their competition!

  • Actually, If you wanted to get real technical about it, Regal had the first look feature before any other exhibitor.

(considering Regal Entertainment Group owns National Cinemedia, the media and production company that produces content for the first look.)

  • Comment removed

  • @wmf1489 Correct! It was based off "The 2wenty", which was Regal's preshow!

  • @DrSurprise The Regal preshow came first, but it's the same preshow as Cinemark and AMC. wmf1489 is right!

  • @Manafichu

lol, i never said he was wrong

  • @wmf1489 this music is so awsume to here

  • @wmf1489 I think this sounds are so cool and relaxing

  • @wmf1489 why does this freeze and then nothing happens for 5 minutes at my theater?

  • @wmf1489 i really enjoy hering this it so relaxing

  • The projectors on top means it is switching projectors. the managers does not do it. Its on a timer. I work at Regal Cinemas and we have the same thing.

  • interesting, I'm the projectionist at a regal cinemas theater (sawgrass 23) and we have to start our projectors (they aren't on timers)

  • really, which one you work at, i work at the one in Marlboro, New Jersey. It switches projectors on its own. Sometimes the managers has to start it because it freezes.

  • does anyone know where i can get the cinemark one?

  • Notice when the projectors show on top, thats when the projectionist starts the movie

    Yes, i'm a regal slave :(

  • lol, work for AMC, were beter! your treated like royalty!

  • Can someone upload the REG/Cingular policy trailer?

  • with the stars? yeah good call

  • Then why exactly did you search for "Regal"

  • Then why exactly did you search for "Regal"

  • i luv the bass in the beginning when your in the theater, btw does anyone know where i could find this or the the newer policy music?

  • They also changed the music the day after i posted this.

This version didnt have a smooth transition when the digital mutes and the film projector starts.

Count 7 seconds after you see the projectors in the corner, Thats when the first trailer starts. Not so smooth.

  • I Know what you mean, thats what they do at Edwards Ontario Palace Stadium 22 in Ontario California.

  • another thing

in case you didn't know, Cinemark and AMC has a policy trailer just like this one.

do you suppose if General Cinema was still "alive" they would have had one too?

  • Cinemark and AMC also use National Cinemedia for in house advertising and entertainment.

They all have the First look and the same freeze frames/ policy trailers (except for the specific REG policy that comes on right before this one)

  • Interesting. do you know if any minor movie theatre chain also uses National Cinemedia advertising?

  • I actually like the policy trailer. anyone who dosn't like it is mistaken. GIVE IT A CHANCE. the background music is relaxing.

To my understanding, i think the Policy Trailer is meant to be shown after the trailers and before featrue film. (kinda like the RC policy trailer, which I missed :[)

    Heres what I mean:

    1-REG introductory trailer

    2-trailers

    3-REG/AT&T policy trailer

    4-Featre Presentation

unfortunately, thats not how it's done :(

  • my regal theater does'nt have this but when i went to one in florda in may 2007 i saw this during spider-man 3

  • Aw. poor baby.

  • This is soooo LLLAMMMEE!! I miss the roller coaster, or all those neat trailers UA used to play before the movie. Now we have a still frame playing some Phillip Glass crap?!? This is exactly why people stay home from the theaters these days. Way too McDonaldized and just not FUN anymore... *yawns*

  • illegality at its finest!!

  • Haha, no kidding.

Or i get multiple complaints cause the newbies on door dont know jack s*** about the theater and the fact that the pre show is ran on a seperate projector

"Someone said the screen in #14 is all crooked and dim"

Thats what we call keystone and ambient light you idiot.

    or i love

    "OMG MY MOVIES FROZEN"

    Chill out. were threading it.

    Hahah -_-

  • i hate when customers are like THE VIDEO IS STUCK AND ITS BROKEN!!!!

no idiots, we are threading/starting the movie

  • ha ha

i'm one of those customers. i say "PLAY THE FUCKING MOVIE." and then, usually i turn around and point to the person in the booth and point at him, causing other customers to look.

  • that's what happened when the AMC moviewatcher program was on a loop at the end while the projectionist waved his hand near the screen as he loaded the movie "Cloverfield" into the other projector. This was at the AMC Rockaway 16. BTW, I've been to a regal in S. Plainfield. That theater's not well kept. I also went to those theaters back when some of them were hoyts, over in Aroostok and Queensbury.
