Well let me say this to you assfuck your only saying that cuz youve never been abused and had one or both your parents with you all your life. Listen ass i saw the streets at the tender age of 2 months old my mother abandoned me and my then 18 month old sister on a corner store in schenectady New York i know ive been abused several times over many years you dont know what its like.
I've had the pleasure of knowing my mom for almost thirty years, but there was a time a few years ago that I didn't see her for nearly a year. I didn't like the guy she was staying with at the time, and he returned the feeling. I felt safer while I was away from my mom, but as time went on, I honestly began to miss her. However, the bright spot of all this is my mom and I have spent the last few years mending our relationship, and my heart melts every time I see her playing Grandma to my niece.

i can relate to the video.my mom and dad didn't want me so i was put in foster care for 6 years and adopted when i was 8.just recently my biological mom was trying to get in contact with me and i honestly can say i dont want anything to do with her the family that adopted me are my true family they where there with me when i was sad.now i have graduated hs and moving on in life.there is more to it but that kinda sums it up.i know that kellie wants nothing to do with her mom and thats how i feel

Its people who are old as crap, and they still are affected by what their parents did to them. They may not be letting it affect their lives, but it still hurts. If it bothers you that bad, don't listen to her songs.
@ladyluck538 what I should have implied right off the bat is this: even though she was abused (and who the **** hasn't been???) she could have thought outside the box and done something other than country, or even pop music. I guess it's because I am not a fan of these genres of music and I highly respect those who try to do something different. That is what I meant. ^^

(130 back then)..Later I took another expensive test (failure to remember the name of this particular test) and scored 145. Sorry but I'm just the kind of person who enjoys thinking outside the box. Her Mom left years ago and to this day refuses to acknowledge her own daughter in her life. Of course, now even after Kellie becoming a big star her Mom does not wish to have a Mother-Daughter relationship. It's a real sad story but i do hope she does realize that love isn't always having a loving and caring parent. LOVE is loving yourself enough to love someone that loves you back but not always in life is it reciprocal.

Assuming that I don't know what the song is about or her past is also a shameful flaw. Remember, never assume anything. Point is, she is very good at getting what she wants and I believe that she staged this whole performance.
There's different levels of emotional scarring so she could very well be "embellishing" her trauma concerning her mother's abandonment. That's all I'm saying. I like Kellie.
This song is so sad it made me tear up. I am the only one in my family never had to deal with one of my parents leaving but the rest of my family has so my heart goes out to all those in pain.
personally i think she should be grateful her mom left, my mom stuck around and tormented me all my life. She's used me for my skills like a little puppet. She slept with my bf's while she drugged me and left me in the back of her car. she's hit on my hubby, tried to have him arrested, wanted me to abort my son for my "singing career". Gave me depression to an eating disorder. Now i barely even talk to her. So sometimes its better when people just LEAVE....even if it hurts not having a mother.

That song breaks my heart. I can't imagine having to grow up without my mom around. I dont know how she made it through the song. Her Mom left years ago and to this day refuses to acknowledge her own daughter in her life. Of course, now even after Kellie becoming a big star her Mom does not wish to have a Mother-Daughter relationship. It's a real sad story but i do hope she does realize that love isn't always having a loving and caring parent. LOVE is loving yourself enough to love someone that loves you back but not always in life is it reciprocal.

personally i think she should be grateful her mom left, my mom stuck around and tormented me all my life. She's used me for my skills like a little puppet. She slept with my bf's while she drugged me and left me in the back of her car. she's hit on my hubby, tried to have him arrested, wanted me to abort my son for my "singing career". Gave me depression to an eating disorder. Now i barely even talk to her. So sometimes its better when people just LEAVE....even if it hurts not having a mother.
