  • There's all of like...10 people on the plane

  • Well done to Capt Bob Pearson for getting everyone off the plane safely..

  • I give Capt. Pearson a billion thumbs up. :). Professionalism isn't really used in aviation nowadays. :3.

  • @hannahrenz Just one exception (re professionalism). I put one other pilot in the same category as Bob Pearson. Sully Sullenberger---who landed that Airbus in the Hudson river when the bird strike shut down both engines. And only 2 hurt--only moderately. I think the only reason both of them were so brilliant in landing a plane with no engines is because both of them had glider experience and knew how to use the plane as a glider. Especially Pearson when he turned that plane sideways.

  • @napachild yup. maybe there are others. Because all of the pilots i have seen in a lot of crashes (aside from Capt. Sullenberger, Capt. Pearson, The captain who landed the B767 in Warsaw, Poland) that doesn't seem to exert their efforts. ( Sorry, that's what I notice in some of them.) Just like in Air France Flight 358. The Pilots landed a bit too high and a little too far from the runway. And it was the cause of the crash. It was the pilot's fault why it crashed. :) . But, the pilots you

  • @hannahrenz and @napachild mentioned truly are great heroes. They really deserved the award they received. And speaking of Flight 358, The Pilots aren't considered heroes because they are the one to blame for this incident. :) .

  • 11:22 that is the same pilot of Snakes on a Plane

  • @Skybolter When you're right you're right, the pilot (played by Tom Butler) in 11:20 did play in "Snakes on a Plane" ironically as the captain; Talk about Déjà vu!

  • I would imagine it would be due to Trademark copyright, maybe the company did not want there logo being associated with the bad ground crew.

I also agree they are both great pilots. In my top 5 of all time. If you haven't seen it already check out "Attack Over Baghdad - Air Crash Investigation/Mayday"... watch?v=L_BfhyZa67A

IMO this was the greatest of them all and that is saying A LOT! :)

  • @emelianenkoo Thanks for the info! I watch Air Crash Investigation all the time. I'll check it out. Have a great evening!

  • So much wrong with this film. Loved the cameo by Bob Pearson but the thing is this film just doesn't come CLOSE to the real story...........

    watch?v=713yrh5RFcA

    Thumbs up anyway. :)

  • @emelianenkoo I'm surprised to hear someone say Hollywood didn't jazz it up enough! I don't get why they changed the flight number and the airline. Any thoughts?

  • @napachild Trademark copyright maybe? Its not that they didn't jazz it up, like i said i preferred real story. The main problem was they jazzed up the wrong parts. Some of the flying on that flight was as good as it gets yet it was given little time on the film. I could go on all day about what i would have changed in the film :), IMO it one of the most amazing flights ever.

  • @emelianenkoo What I can't understand is why they changed the name of the airline and the flight number. Bob Pearson and Sully Sullenberger are heros to me. They managed to land a plane with no engines and everyone survived. In both cases it was because they knew how to glide. I think if they didn't, everyone would have died.

  • THIS MOVIE TALKS ABOUT THE STORY OF AIR CANADA FLIGHT 143 AND IT'S AWSOME.

  • So, the problem started from ground crew. Word "professionalism' has become a word of joke these days and the main 'couse is money, in the form of low cost, benefits retention etc, etc.

  • @malang73 Yes and don't leave out maintenance on these planes being shipped overseas because its cheaper and less stringent as far as regulations go. The American worker is still being screwed royally. Such a sad situation!

  • I like this movie!! Compare to the other aviation movies I've seen, this one uses real cockpit instruments from the actual plane!

  • @DeltaEagle7700 I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't know they used the actual instruments from the plane. Did you know Bob Pearson has a cameo role in this movie? After the two pilots get out of the simulator, Bob Pearson is the one who tells them "It really happened." He is a hero in my eyes, just like Sully Sullenberger is a hero. Both of them landed without engines and everyone lived and no serious injuries. Both of them knew how to glide.Gimli glider is now retired at a "graveyard".

  • @napachild. Yeah! The cockpit is the exact real aircraft! Yeah, I noticed he was in the beginning!

  • lip sink is off...

  • @pilotman1009 I know it is and I haven't quite figured out how to correct it.

  • @napachild I wish that those two awesome hero pilots met. (well captain sullenberger and capt. pearson.) that would be COOL :)

When Captain Pearson said " It isn't a dream, it happened" He is pertaining to the Gimli glider right?

  • @hannahrenz Yes, that's it. In; the movie, Capt. Pearson was playing the part of the examiner for those two pilots that got out of the simulator griping it wasn't fair to them to test them on something "made up". That's when Bob Pearson said what he did. If you would like to see more----go to the search bar and the top of the page and put in Sullysullenberger--Miracle on the Hudson, or some other words that are key words. Program both were on is Airplane Crashes. Its a series.

  • @napachild who was the 2 pilots :-?

  • @hannahrenz Bob Pearson was the captain. And somebody Quintal. Can't remember his firts name! They are just as much heros as Sully Sullenberger and Jeff Skyles. They are both heros in my eyes.

  • I wish Capt Pearson appeared in multiple scenes :'(

  • Wow really?! He's there? what would it be like if someone is portraying a yourself and then you also appear in the film too?? LOL! omee god omee god he's thereeee!!! ^_^

  • @hannahrenz You silly!! LOL!

  • @napachild hahahaha!! :DDD

  • @hannahrenz I credit the pilot for the safe landing. He had glider experience. He used the principles of gliding to turn that plane sideways and then straighten it out at the last minute. When they put this scenario into the flight simulator, all the pilots crashed. There is another hero in my eyes. Capt. Sully Sullenberger who landed that plane in the Hudson river--everyone survived. He, too had glider experience. Both pilots realized the big difference in a small glider vs a passenger jet.

  • @napachild I agree.. :))

  • @hannahrenz Thanks for watching my videos. I'm getting ready to upload some more.

  • Wow really?! He's there? what would it be like if someone is portraying a yourself and then you also appear in the film too?? LOL!

  • I personally think that the pilots are really great. :) they are a true hero... :)
