I love this movie but it's too heartbreaking. I remembered I watched it when I was 15yo and it drove me into depression for 1 week. So...I'm struggling whether I should watch it again.

This movie does NO JUSTICE for the REAL people who died on the RMS Titanic. And it's the same for the ship too. I think the movie should've been based more around the ship and crew than the other people on it carrying around their daily business on the ship.

I think it's because America is the loneliest country in the world so people live their fantasies through the movies they watch. Depends on if whether by American, you mean North American, as the director of the the movie is Canadian. Although I would say this is as much an American tragedy as British, not forgetting all the Irish who lost their lives too. (They would come under the umbrella of being British in 1912 though)

this is f*cked up cuz there is like only 10 lifeboats? and each is about 30 person. so like 300? out of like what 2,000? and plus they cant survive.... reasons: water will give them something like hypothermia and its in the middle of the night.....
@iLuv2bpin0y04 umm... there were 32 life boats but 12 got destroyed. so that left 20 and one life boat seated 65 people. so... 20 life boats could save around 1300 people. but the life boats werent filled to capacity~ thats why so many people died.

Best movie that has ever been created. Nothing will beat the emotions that was felt for the people & the ship that went down but the movie is great also.
Titanic is far more better and luxurious than Avatar, Avatar was good, Yes Avatar made more money, but ticket price was lower back in the day, and now with 3D its a higher price.
I was living on the coast of Baja,Mexico in 1996 and 1997.On that shoreline, about twenty miles south of Tijauna, they filmed this movie.They actually built an exact replica of the Titanic for the movie.It was an awesome sight floating there.In the end they disasembled it and it was if it had never existed.We opened a small cantina there overlooking the shorline above the cliffs.It was called ,"Titanic Tony's".Greatt days they were.Amazing sets.One of the best films of all time's.
i have watched this movie once a week since 2001 it was the last movie i watched with my mom before she passed. i know it word for word and still feel a need to watch it once a week seems strange i know.

Titanic movie is not the truth. if you do your research, you will find that ALL of the surviving passengers said that they went up onto an iceberg, then spent one hour backing off of it. its in the original investigation of whitestar line. only the surviving crew claims they side swiped it. and guess who owned majority stock, and was the focus of insurance fraud and conspiracy? JP MORGAN. as always. the bankers are behind every questionable event. they own all media & top publishing firms.

@xpo50 ya, and thats after he got all of the elite to take the maiden voyage, (strangely all big money opposing the federal reserve system proposal at the time, which morgan was an advocate of). Astor,guggenhiem,straus,etc. Then he cancels at the last minute. but i dont dare say conspiracy. lol they had an investigation, funded by white star. i love when they investigate themselves. cover up? then the California that was seen by survivors before the iceberg, was also owned by morgan.

you know, the ship shouldn't have tried to change the ship's direction.. if the ship hit the iceberg from the front, it would have never sunk. Very dumb people were controlling the ship. Especially because they said the boat was unsinkable. They had not enough damn boats that is just sad.

Titanic is far more better and luxurious than Avatar, Avatar was good, Yes Avatar made more money, but ticket price was lower back in the day, and now with 3D its a higher price.

I was living on the coast of Baja,Mexico in 1996 and 1997.On that shoreline, about twenty miles south of Tijauna, they filmed this movie.They actually built an exact replica of the Titanic for the movie.It was an awesome sight floating there.In the end they disasembled it and it was if it had never existed.We opened a small cantina there overlooking the shorline above the cliffs.It was called ,"Titanic Tony's".Greatt days they were.Amazing sets.One of the best films of all time's.
