ya he was good....where is he? this song brings me back to very young yrs(like 9 yrs old). neone remember tnn? white horse saloon and music vids....lol....best lunch time hrs ever!
I love this video, great in b and w. I wish he'd done more ballads like this. Very wistful and thougthful.. Someone else posted the video, check it out...
to answer the question of what happened to Ty.... The story is that he had exsposed himself to a gay man and got caught and the label dropped him. i sure miss his music and wish things were different. good luck Ty!!
Just one of those songs that pops into your head whenever you're camping or sitting next to a smoker...whenever there's a chance you could get smoke in your eyes, you start singing
this was/is a great tune. i still have this cd somewhere. in my opinion the best of country music was from about 1993-98.. it was good tunes like this, JMM, Alan Jackson, McGraw when he was good..those were my favorite years
Alot of stars that seemed on the rise in the mid 90's era have vanished. Anyone remember Jeff Copley, had a hit called Evergreen and was the talk of the radio for like three months, never heard from him again.
Never heard of Jeff Copley or the song Evergreen, perhaps he was just someone from the local area where you lived. There is no record of Jeff, or the song "Evergreen" on the billboard Country charts
I'm sure that almost anyone who has made a commercial album will come up during a google search. Neither Jeff Copley the Artist, nor the song Evergreen ever appear on the Billboard Country charts, which means the song didn't even crack the top 100. Even the most minor hits will at least crack the top 100 and make an appearance on the chart. It may have been just your local station doing the guy a favor, and playing his song.
Ty is Alive and Well in Oklahoma. He's still playing and Kickin Azz on stage. I met Ty in Llano, Texas in April of 2009. It was an Honor to meet him and Proud to say he became a great friend to me and my wife as well to others. Hes a fantastic person to talk to...............
I always wondered what happened to Ty England... he was promising and then poof he was gone. But I see what the other poster stated.. that is too bad.
Ty was making his way to the top, then made the mistake of taking a long break to have another kid with his wife. By the time he finally resurfaced, it was too late. He's now doing the personal appearances and county fairs. Too bad...he's so talented. He should never have taken a leave from the business. You snooze, you lose in that world. He's the coolest guy. For awhile, he was Tyler England with a less Western flair, but thank God he's back as cowboy Ty England!
I can't believe that songs like this don't chart higher than 44 but thanks for posting this song.

What does "don't have smoke in her eyes" actually mean?
sofreshsoclean75 1 year ago
@sofreshsoclean75 It mean she isn't blinded by love. She can see beyond it.
