I seriously cannot fathom how anyone says that the good guy fell off. CLEARLY anyone who thinks that has never listened to this piece beyond the violin entrance. The section after this violin entrance is incredibly peaceful and joyful. The entrance is a simple "Sturm und Drang" moment which is resolved by peace and resolution. Obviously, the bad guy did not win

OR! The good guy and bad guy were once friends hence the sad music when either one dies.
