  • did you wipe them with mineral spirits before painting ?

  • Good job. About the brush bristles coming out, I read that a foam brush is better for this.

I'd also like to know how the paint typically lasts cuz I wouldn't want to do it every year or two either.

  • @jeffhanson1 Jeff I had to do them twice. I think the problem for me though was the first time it was very close to winter and I had 1 or 2 days before it was too cold. So I rushed and didn't do enough coats or the coats were too thin or because it got cold each day it just didn't adhere as well. The second time has held up perfectly though since I did it in the summer and good temps everyday. Second time I used a foam brush. I had enough paint to do them twice and more.

  • @KristaMachine Cool. Should be interesting to see how long it lasts in years.

  • paint your rotors sliver/chrome...it makes the red stand out BIG TIME!

  • They look good! I have the same Soul, with the same rims. I like the open style rims like ours better then the 18" ones because the calipers show more...nice job.

  • I would have done yelllow

  • Great job. I painted my calipers too, but i used spray. it took less than a half hour to finish all four , and it looks good, like urs :) maybe u should do the same next time in stead of wasting ur time...
