  • Where them gangstas at? Where them dimes at?

  • This whole album is my muse...... It takes me to a different world.

  • Nas...

  • thank you for this song-it has got to be my all time favorite-been a fan of minnie's since the 70's-she was and still is my favorite singer-not one can touch the magic her brings! miss her alot.

  • This song take a few listens to actually appreciate its lyricism. I dare say that the most beautiful part of the song occurs between 4:22 - 4:32 (the background 'LAs') and has to be the prettiest 10 seconds of music I've heard in a LONG time!

  • RIP Minnie & Charles One day we all will hear that beautiful voice and those heavenly arrangements in Heaven.

  • Real Live:Crime is money(1994)

  • @ 3:00 - bring it on!!!

  • it mite b a stupid question but is that her whistling at the end?

  • @neworleans504fresh no stupid questions. she isnt whistling she is actually singing that note at the end.

  • I love this whole album

  • Wow! I consider this album to be her best work. It captures her beauty naturally without all of the hit making production of that time. This is a listener's dream. In Minnie's garden, one can be free from the ills that plague their minds. Thanks Minnie and Charles.

  • sounds like esg's ufo from 1:50...

  • I loved this song from the moment I heard it for the first time back in 2000. Although, it was my Godbrother Paul who told me that Minnie was actually singing in the chorus: "Dance ballerina dance". I was totally clueless. Minnie could make a belch sound classy. Thank GOD there's only one Minnie Julia Riperton Rudolph.

  • "...no one could ever take your place..." Minnie.

R.I.P. Minnie Riperton & the greatest producer/arranger of all time - Charles Stephney.

  • Many people aren't familiar with Charles Stepney. Therefore, the family has uploaded a video entitled Interrupted Greatness The Chares Stepney Story. It is a synopsis of the Stepney daughters lives with and without him. Check it out if you can.

    Thank you

  • @charlesstepney thank you for the video,he was beautiful!!

  • Bless your family! Your father brought happiness into the lives of so many of us. I suffer from heart disease myself. One day we will defeat the disease that took your father away and left this world a much poorer place. Cancer as well which took Minnie Ripperton from us. May God give us the wisdom to defeat these killers!

  • Minnie was a phenomenal artist, and this orchestra is off the chain!

  • I know, right?!

  • heavenly.

  • sweet!

  • WOW NAS just took this beat in his last album. I love this song.

    Talking in the rain

  • There was another version of this song recorded by Ramsey Lewis that Real Live sampled on "Crime Is Money" in '96.

  • WOW!!! Yo you just took me back to my underground days. Dude I got that somewhere in my tapes not the Ramsley Lewis joint but the Real Live joint from 96. 89 tech nine and 89.1 WNYU shows. Time to Dig into the shoe box for that tape
