This is my favorite movie in a long, long time, it is truly something completely different. If you change the backdrop of the movie, and put this girl in a different setting, like a war zone perhaps, folks might say, "OH what a wonderful imagination she has to cope with her messed up world". The bias comes right away because her parents are dope addicts. A modern fairy tale would have dope addicts in the place of the big bad wolf.

OH yeah, the Dude was great in this movie, lol.

The only thing those movies have in common is the Alice in Wonderland theme, that's all :)

and the they both are stories about a little girl whose innocence and imagination help them survive hardship. the only thing that seperates the films are setting which is all people seemed to look at.

they also both have wicked ass trees in it.
