The Queen mary 2 is just a more Beautiful and extravegant Ship. Yea i'm sure there is snobs on this ship. But she was made for everyone. But she is not as beautifull as the Queen Mary here in Long beach. The only real competitor to Cunard is Royal Caribbean. But even the Oasis cannot compete with The Queen Mary 2's beauty. While there is bad weather in the Caribbean, a cruise ship will not be strained like an ocean liner/ cargo ship/ battleship because they spend most of their time on the high seas. If you studied the most rudimentary naval architecture, you will know that the Sapphire is NOT structurally reinforced for the high seas. Your logic on the ship being smaller needing more metal is flawed.
