lmfao! this is the dumbest thing i think ive ever seen. still hilarious. and i think the silverado held the sandwich pretty well. all you need is a bed cover and youre good.
i read that suzuki has confirmed that the next-gen 2011 swift will be coming here.... i loved that car ever since the 5th gen swift came out 6 years ago..
The inability to lock up the sandwich was the Silverado's Achille's heel in the test. Plus if you transport in rain or snow, your sandwich isn't protected. Ease of loading was a snap, though.
No protection from weather and if you have ever put long stuff in a truck before, you would know you need to secure it, and the soft sandwich isn't easy to secure.
Your point is well taken and something we considered. We sacrificed one slightly used sandwich and donated to the Salvation Army's Haitian Relief Fund. We suggest others do the same.
I must admit it was a wast of food... I would have loved to eat some of that sandwich. I really thought you guys were going to eat it at the end... that would have been much more entertaining then wasting it on the pavement. Funny video though.
and for the people with the whole "haiti" bullsh*t; i bet if that disaster didnt happen you wouldnt know anything about haiti or give two sh*ts about it. The place was a disaster area even before the earthquake, you didnt care to donate back then, not darfur, or any other conflict areas either. So i really dont believe in your kind hearts because you will forget it next week when the magic box (tv) tells you to focus your attention on something else.
The "waste of food" is something we considered, but we believed a several hour-old sandwich was of no use to anyone, especially after our mishap with it. Instead we have made a donation to the Salvation Army's Haiti Relief Fund.
I understand your concern. The thing is, after a long shoot in the sun the sandwich wasn't really fit for human consumption anyway. The bite I took after the slide left me feeling really ill.
cut the 6 foot sandwich in half, problem solved.
