at this level it is not about criminality or terrorism, grooming maybe. If it were there would be 0 crime.0 terrorism&drug dealing subject2 computer power.Instead it is encouraged, countries have uncovered scandals of naval ships carrying drugs into their own country& prohibition is fearlessly protected. Why, because the more of us who are fighting over drugs& pieces of paper or plastic the less time u have 2 discover your true human potential and power...
add remote neural monitoring, synthetic telepathy and electromagnetic mood alteration a diverse human intel element and a number of semi secret underground satellite bases worldwide, a cellular frequency network and a lot less hype you could probably have people hijack planes and fly them into buildings set with explosives. A good way to coverup the development of such things and really scare the general population.
Please dont beleive everything the government tells you.. They lie, steal, torture and do whatever the fuck they please and tell us an alternate story, think for yourself is all im asking because the day we we trust everything the government does thats the day democracy turns into tyranny and we are getting closer and closer to losing our rights because of shit like the patriot act, if u dont standup for the constitution then it just becomes a piece of paper
@ThePigIsTheDestroyer I'm sorry, but paranoia is damaging. It's damaging the person who has it, to the people around him, and to the society at large. They elect dangerous fools because of paranoia. They also commit civil unrest because of it.
You don't like my opinion? then follow your own advice, and stuff it.
And oh, by the way, our government has a computer that logs calls. They only "track criminals" if they get a warrant from a court of law.
@philWynk Look at the 5 permanent UN security council members China, Russia, France UK, USA and know they are governed at a high level by jesuit/freemasons, differing systems of control, Christians who worship at non state churches in China get taken away by secret police, you wonder what they are afraid of. In other countries they get gangstalked and harassed. It is all about what you think. Criminals are left to low level law enforcement who require warrants.
@Blitzlevingt And if all that is true, you're going to do... what, exactly? How, precisely, are you going to live differently because of this knowledge?
I toyed with your sort of paranoia decades ago, and eventually realized that it was utterly futile. Even if true, there's nothing I'd do differently; and the likelihood that it's true is so close to zero that it's not worth calculating.
Pick something worth doing, go do it, and quit bothering decent people with insane ravings.
@philWynk its about making informed decisions not paranoia or insanity. Nobody is asking you to do anything different. My point is it has very little to do with criminals or other at that level that's all.
@Blitzlevingt The Catholic Church and Freemasonry controls the governments of China, Russia, France, the UK, and the US??? That's not paranoia?
That's paranoia, son. The facts say otherwise. The Catholics have never had a presence at all in Russia, what the Chinese call "church" is not Catholic, the Catholics lost control of France in the 18th century and never regained it, the UK dismissed connections to Rome in the 16th century, etc.
@Blitzlevingt ...and the central point of THIS conversation is that no, there's no intelligent computer directing all the cameras in the nation and dispatching murderous agents to achieve its own agenda, the way Eagle Eye portrays. THAT is loony.
There are computers gathering data on phone calls. That's about 3 orders of magnitude less intrusive than what the movie portrays.
@philWynk It is good movie, easy to underestimate the extent of influence of the Church and its proxies the intelligence services, secret society informal networks across many public& private institutions, mystery schools, infiltrated religions ect the lines are not clearly marked, its designed that way. The extent of AI control is probably limited by computing power, means limited number of actual targets vs large monitoring and profiling capacity, there is a large human intel component.
I love this film very much - reminds me The Net, Untraceable and Echelon Conspiracy a little bit. The storyline was very interesting, the acting was great. Finally Shia LaBeouf showed great acting. Michelle Monaghan was brilliant, the same with Billy Bob Thornton. Also I love Non-stop action thing like it was in Jurassic Park 3 (2001), Shoot 'Em Up (2007), The Tournament (2009) etc.
Eagle Eye is interesting, thrilling, suspensful film. They should make a sequel
So, a computer forces people against their will to complete tasks and tells them what to do. The computer tells them if they do it, they won't die. But in the end, it turns out the computer lied, and they're both supposed to die. But they avoid death and the computer's sphere with a red eye in the middle gets destroyed by which causes the computer to self-destruct.
You know that scene where the computer shows Jerry all of his personal info on the miltiple screens and says stuff like 'We know who you are Jerry Shaw, your bother...(etc)"
Vote this up if you think that's what he govt is actually doing with all of us as we speak. Even as I type up this comment!? Vote this up if you agree!
@MusicMan53100 I understand Haldol is good for this sort of paranoia...
This is fiction, son. There are lots of computers and some cameras, but they're from thousands of departments, using hundreds of different protocols, produced on different dates by different programmers using different data formats. They can't even unify the dozens of separate data sinks in the IRS, let alone the whole government. And frankly, they wouldn't watch you if they could, 'cause you're boring. Relax.
@philWynk You dont' know that they cant. Who are you to say whether they are or are not. I'm saying, they probably do and probably already have the tech to turn your cell phone into a sonar device! not that they go around doing it every 5 seconds. But when they feel the need to track you, they can track you! Never understimate the FBI / CIA. And it's not Paranoia, I am simply stating theories...
You IMAGINE the government can look at your every move whenever they want to. You have no evidence of it; you have a "theory." You saw an action film portraying a future something like this. Now you're asking people to "like" your comment if they believe the government can do RIGHT NOW what this futuristic fiction portrays. And you're saying it's not right for me to call you paranoid. Is that about it?
@philWynk It's not imagination. They may or may not have the capabilities to do so right now. Who is to know? You, me or otherwise? Yes, its a theory. Thats what they call it in the world of logic and not paranoia. And how is this "futuristic"? If they may or may not have the capabilites now, then its not futuristic is it. And I haev always believed this to be a possiblity, even since BEFORE Eagle Eye came out. How about I call you a "sheep"? Would you like that? Case re-opened biatch!
No, son, just imagining a scenario does not create a working theory. It has to be credible. This is not.
You may call me anything you like, but until your thinking comports even a little bit with reality, I honestly don't care what you think. You have some suspicion? Fine. Distrust of human motives? Fine, me too. But "Eagle Eye" as a model for real, governmental intervention? Certifiable; you need professional help. I'm not kidding. Go find a pro.
@philWynk You respond to a comment I made over 2 months ago (and possibly dont even care abt anymore) and you say I need to find professional help? Laughable!
All I am saying is: the government is so very secretive about certain things that you never know what people are planning. There is no harm in theorizing or being prepared. I pitty the person who isnt prepared for the worst. (most likely, meaning you)
i just saw this movie for the first time today on HBO i thought it was good ..one day this shit could happen a computer that can tap in to every device we own are cell phones are computers never know ..and after i watched the movie i watched the making of it ..have the shit they did in the move they really did no cgi shit ..and that makes me like the movie move when the movie makers take the time to do real stuff and not use cgi all the time to me makes it more worth watching
@SNIFFMYBADGER the storyline mite not be such a ridiculous one think about it ..a computer that can tap into every device we own that the us government controls you never know one day the government mite pull this shit off ...and i watched the making of this movie they did alot of stunts and car crashes and other stuff and did not use cgi..where most movies use cgi in a movie like this one so give it a little credit
@TheSteelersrock1010 Setting the story in this time period is still unbelievable, despite what the paranoid conspiracists think. The most ridiculous part is not the way you can locate people (which is believable) It's the way it kills people. Plot aside It just wasn't well made. You can have all the crashes and elaborate chases in the world, but you need substance for a film to be good. e.g. any of the 90's bond films compared to the Bourne films
what if tha fbi and everyone is listening to your conversations .. weired aint it ... could be top secret ? who knows OooOoh HAHA anyways emenze film steven speilburg brings tha best films out these days likeee

This one really rocked!! Not a totally original idea, but completely fascinating to watch it play out. Much more satisfying ending than The Game (which just messed with your head).
One of my favs movies so far,and not only because there is Shia there (I'm in love with this guy),but also because the story is catchy, and it's non-stop action there,I totally LOVE it !! I can't stop watching it on DVD,it's FABULOUS !!
Shia disguised as a Pentagon cop, fighting and overpowering a security guard at the basement, how is that even possible ? Or was that just a rookie guard?
There are loads of pictures of the inside cargo hold with pallets of seats, being used for the military movements, transporting military personell, or civil scientists and explorers everywhere in the world.
Plot holes: They are lead to an armored vehicle, forced to rob and retreive the case, they get passports and go trough screening, I assumed they were to fly to Washington on a normal flight, otherwise why would they need passports for? Agent Morgan sees Shia and chases them, Shia and the girl runs out to a Globemaster C17, opens the box, and find the injection guns. How could the computer predict such things ? Besides it is not needed, as the cargo hold of the C17 is pressurized.
It was fun to watch but The whole movie is totally implausible. I mean why the hell would the pentagon allow a computer to run the government then spend about an hour trying to kill it when Rosario Dawson jams rod in its eye to kill it when they could have done that as soon as they figured out the computer was a bitch.
Also the photo of Shia and his "Twin" was Hilarius lol it was him in the same pose in different clothes ...billions for a film and they cant work photoshop?!
Some of LaBeouf's best acting though, gotta admit. The plot was a little cheesy though, I think several film producers tried to sue, claiming that the film had stolen plot lines from them.
Because not all movies are written to service those that analyze the plot in junction to reality. Yeah, I noticed nearly the same things, but some movies are just made for escapism, like this may have been.
Could've been worse. Could've been another remake or sequel to a long dead franchise.
IM NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE BUT IM SCARED OF WHAT IT SEES in 1908 a lady named sally rusa was in the woods looking for a dog until a ghost came and killed her so if ur reading this u will find a bloody body in your closet hanging there haunting you and will kill you and ur family and if u want to stop this just sends this to 6 videos in 30 mins or this will happen good luck!! and i only did this because it freaked me out o.o
I thought it was an interesting movie , , , but it runs right along with the hollywood leftist U.S. haters mindset , , The Heroes in this Movie are the very two who Defeat The Computer System Set in Place To Protect and Defend The Constitution From All Enemies "Foreign & Domestic" Heroes Go Figure ! ! !
People who like this movie are just dumb. Possibly black or Hispanic. It actually made 'Wanted' look good. You think it's an action movie, but it's sci-fi. A combination of Terminator (Skynet) and i-Robot. It's in the future too since the movie came out in 2008, but the date is Jan 26, 2009. And Circuit City is thriving instead of out of business. And the President is still white (Shrub left Jan 20th)! I was sure it was going to end with Shia uploading a virus to the mother ship.

The computer wasn't being a bitch, it was just following the constitution, trying to defend it from all enemies, foreign or domestic.

Right on... something our elected officials need to focus on honoring via their oaths.
