I sang with a lady who was from Japan and she could sing the songs we were working on really well but when I tried to talk to her, she didn't understand me very well. People can imitate but not nessessary know or understand the language. I can't imitate a different language at all. It's a mess.

Being an American and hearing the songs she sings I can pick up on a few words that are mispronounced. Truth be told I chuckled a little only because she sounds so close to the original and then you hear the accent. This girl's melisma technique is unstabil, and she really needs more vocal training.

Some of her notes are unstable and she cant pronounce the words correctly.

I don't even know if she knows English beyond being able to sing some songs and maybe some conversation, so she'd have to learn English to work on her speech. The people here who are trying to say that Jane's voice is average: I think those comments are trying to interpret that her voice is average in the Chinese music industry (there are a lot of Chinese singers whose voices are very similar in terms of texture and tone to Jane). However, Jane is one of those few songstresses in China/HK who can hit dolphin notes, so, I'll give her a plus point. :)
