Dear Roberto, you are not as good a singer as your influences, so please stop name-dropping them in various interviews hoping that their Mum or producer will see and cast you as the lead in their biopics. It's not a voice you can copy, unless you already have that kind of beautiful soulful voice naturally. Ask any singer out there, 90% of them will have no idea how to bring that much emotion & do the kind of runs he does. In addition to the van morrison and jeff buckley comparisons, his singing also elicits similar feelings in me of both peace and excitement as does ben harper's music. I hope he has a long long singing career. His music is penetrating and moving, and in these ways, refreshing. I just love the acoustic performances of his I've been able to hear on youtube. robert pattinson is great. i love LOVE his style. but it's a shame cos there are other absolutely FANTASTIC folk singers out there, who aren't anywhere near as appreciated. i do wonder whether he would be anywhere near popular if he wasn't in twilight.
check out johnny flynn, mumford and sons and eugene mcguinness. they deserve as much recognition as rob.

In response to your question, I probably wouldn't have heard of him if not for the twilight buzz. But, that would be a shame. I also would not then have known to look for Eugene Mcguinnes, johnny flyn, & mumford & sons. Kind of like I wouldn't have gotten to see the great movie Cake Eaters, or learned about Aaron Stanford if not for Kristen Stewart & the twilight buzz. So I think it's a big net gain for us all.

Definitely an AWESOME Folk singer. I'd LOVE it if he made an entire album. His voice has so much soul and emotion, its one of the most touching that I've ever heard.

personally I do think he is better than paolo, he has more of a raw , stripped down sound than paolo and that's why i consider him to be better. its only my opinion.

i love the fact that no matter what song he's singing you can hear the raw emotion in his voice. it's what makes him original. i hope he decides to bring out an album in the future because he is very talented!!
plus he's also an amazing actor (not just in twilight) and is drop dead gorgeous :-D haha!!

personally I do think he is better than paolo, he has more of a raw , stripped down sound than paolo and that's why i consider him to be better. its only my opinion.
