The goods must of paid their mortgage off cos otherwise they wouldnt aford to go self sufficiant. Love this show specially how margo doesnt know how to laugh at a joke lol
@blueleadguitar may i add xmas top of the pops! the round up of all those glamsters-t.rex, slade, & dare i say the leader himself, gary glitter-great times!
@missmarypickford yes indeed! I miss all of that as there is nothing on TV these days that provides such great entertainment at Christmas, or actually, any time! lol
for all you hard core fans, this was shot in an actual house...and its still much the same way it was in this show. Visible on google earth at 55 Kewferry Road, Northwood, Middlesex, UK.
I am afriad I am going to have to report the Goods for contravening ordinance 25B-11C of the EU 1998 directive on keeping livestock in non farm designated environments, subject to a fine of 5,000 Euros plus 300 hrs community service. Signed : Gerard Jobsworth
God! Here's an American who'd be an ex-patriot only if she could move to Serbiton (sp?) and live right between the Goods' and Ledbetters'. Barbara would have loved me, I'd have left the pub and come and helped when the storm nearly wrecked their garden.
Thank you for uploading this! "Good Neighbors" (aka The Good Life) is one of my favorites! Tom and Barbara have the kind of marriage I want to have someday. They seem to have so much fun together.
I've never seen the Christmas Show before. Hilarious! Again, thanks!
OuijaBird, on behalf of all the viewers who find great pleasure in this show...immense waves of gratitude coming your way for all your hard work, time, and effort into uploading this excellent, witty series!
"Those games are rather childish arnt they" asks Margo, "yes " replies Barbara- "we're adults shouldnt we do something that adults do ? " cue dirty snigger from Jerry LOL so funny and Margo's face - the look she gives him - LOL
hahaha - "I can safely say that on the right occasion, this will be the perfect thing to wear." "... and on what occasion will that be" Those sweaters/overtops are awful, and the spewy green colour!!! Thank you so much for uploading this - one of my favourite episodes.
I absolutely adore The Good Life. Pure clean comedy from the 70's. Just what TV is sorely lacking these days. Margo's facial expressions are absolutely priceless. I know a few people just like her.
@ScotiaAdonis lol That phrase gets bandied about alot like a cliche, good clean fun, so pure it was about smutty innuendo sexism and now that Ive watched the entire series the word "stupid bitch" slurred twice. Ahhh yes, the wholesomeness of the 70s Take the rose tinted glasses off lol
thanks for posting that, its great, that was my mums cow! she was 17 wehn she took the cow up to the BBC, my grandparents were dairy farmers and used their cow lol!!
