kittykyomi, Bambi came out WAAAAAAAYY before Lion King, but the second movie was so long after the first that they had to make some changes to the overall feel of the story. besides, simba doesn't really reconnect with his mother like bambi does with his dad. his dad has a great voice though, just like mufasa.

I think Babmi might have stolen the general idea from the lionking. I mea the Lionking is about Simba who looses his father whom he had a strong relationship with and learns he has to face his past. Bambii delt with loosing his beloved mother and is trying to establish a relationship with his father. Both involve the loss of a loved one and a strong 'father/son' relationship

Yeah, I'm not really sure where you came up with that. Firstly, as horsewoman34 said, Bambi came before the Lion King. Secondly, the Lion King itself is based largely off of Shakespeare's play Hamlet. So technically Bambi would be copying off of that, not the Lion King.

In all honesty, the stories aren't all that similar anyway. Simba's father is killed and he is ousted from his home by his uncle thinking it was his fault. in Bambi there is no evil uncle, nor is Bambi banished from his home.
