One thing I like about The Science of Mind is that Ernest Holmes, unlike Paul(Saul of Tarsus), Mary Baker Eddy, Helen Schucman,William Thetford, and every other cook, never came to his philosophy and it's conclusions by claiming to have "SEEN A VISION" of Jesus....or...."HEARD THE VOICE" of Jesus. Holmes,who considered himself a christian, simply studied all religions and philosophies he could get his hands on and found a common thread of truth in them all. He heard,nor saw "visions n voices".
I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
The experience of God, words cannot describe. Remember, God is beneficial to all through his miracle of Salvation. The Joy of God is not only an experience. There is nothing to prove. God's Salvation is the Holy Spirit moving in your life, removing the stumbling blocks of sin and judgement, leaving your mind unclouded by the world of sin. The Book of Jesus Christ is so great that the world cannot contain it, yet He placed It within your heart so that It could never be lost.
If Jesus rose from the dead, then the works of the devil are destroyed. If you can accept this truth, you will let the Holy Spirit fight the battle for you. Even those of us who accept the lesson will struggle with the application. I am in need of forgiveness as I struggle to find the truth in this strange world of contradictions. I indeed fear evil but I fear God the most. It must be that there is no evil in God, so I must be a part of the problem. I will ask for total help from Christ Jesus.
I only know, that when I practiced the Forgiveness Lessons of the Course In Miracles, I had a direct Experience with God, and its the Ecstatic Bliss..There is Nothing on Earth that compares to the Unconditional Love of God....Jesus told the deciples there was much they would not understand until later.....well this Book is the Later information ...All you have to do is read it and practice the lessons, and you will at some point have Divine Revelation!!
I'm a student of A Course In Miracles for over 20 years now and my experience with ACIM has been nothing but good. For me it was better than winning a billion dollar lotto. Money will never bring your the peace, joy, love and happiness that the miracle of Light can. I dedicate everyday to miracles.
The Ego is what the dream calls Satan. It will do whatever it can to keep you from choosing once again. It wants you to keep thinking that you are a body and follow the dogmas of old. It will keep putting things in your way to keep you thinking of yourself on a physical plane with physical outcomes. Forgiveness is only a part of the big picture. Love. Try Gary Renard's book Disappearance of the Universe. It puts the course in laymans terms and will most definitely help to absorb the truth!
I can't believe people are discussing what colour skin Jesus would have! Bodies are nothing. And how can anyone believe the Course was dictated by a demon! Do demons encourage love and forgiveness?
