I am a huge TTMOE fan but i don't think his lyrics or anybody elses can be put above Bob Dylans. I like TTMOE's style of playing ALOT, maybe more than Dylan, but Dylan was a poet, and his lyrics are some of the best ever written. TTMOE makes the best music that is out today hands down, and i agree that he can be compared to Dylan, but certainly not put above him.

I know it's common to compare him to Dylan - but i like him far better...all apologies but I like his voice, style, lyrics far better than Dylan's - I couldn't ever embrace Bob Dylan's music completely - but this - i dunno feels flawless and easy - Dylan had the tension of the Vietnam war and protests as a backdrop so his music really arose from the times - but this feels even more timeless somehow-

You know, this man started an entire adventure for me. I made my way across two provinces to see him play in Montreal, to find out I was stranded, with no cash and a big bottles of beer. Awwwh yeah. I have him some drawings I did during the show with a note asking him to jam with me, but no such luck.. He was probably tired, and security kicked me out.. To this day I don't know whether or not he came back out... But let me tell you. What a frucking incredible show. Real moving.
