Funny how many people don't get it,mostly uptight youngsters. I don't doubt for a second David Bowie loves it. Chill out,you people take things that don't even matter so seriously and consider things that really do matter so lightly or not at all.
Great documentary, and this was my favorite song from it. Love Bowie's original, and I hearing senior citizens sing it makes the lyrics incredibly powerful and poignant. (All apologies to Bowie, but Young @ Heart enunciates the lyrics more clearly, too.) Beautifully done.
I went to see this film at the Curzon Soho last week and thought it was absolutely FANTASTIC! I laughed and cried alternately throughout - a rare sight! It's showing throughout the country over the next few weeks at selected cinemas. Make sure you check out the nearest showing to you, it's well worth it!
They really are in their Golden Years! I love the shot of those two old ladies sitting at the firing machines! If you haven't watched Young @ Heart already, you really should! It's cry one minute, laugh the next. Excellent.
I can't wait to see this when it comes out on general release on the 18th April - I was lucky enough to have gone to a screening in LA but now i'm going to take all my friends!!!
Add them as a friend on My-space. Just search names for Young at Heart or go-ogle them for their web-page and they will have their touring dates there or you can e-mail and ask for the dates. I know that they just came back from a tour in Ireland.
This is the coolest group. I'm not young, but I'm not their age either. Gives me hope that I won't end up in a rocking chair with a blanket on my lap.

The movie made me bawl. Especially when they sang Dylan's Forever Young to the Prisoners. And when Joe died.
