the child-drugging experiments occurred in the early 80s, I think on the show they said 1981. According to Peter's tombstone, he died in 1985. So perhaps Peter (the original one) was a part of those experiments, which may have cause him to get sick and die. It would certainly explain a lot of the grief and guilt that Walter seems to show whenever he's reminded of the death.

i think when peter died that is wat sent walter into experimenting on all the kids like olivia. It also made him crazy cause he had lost his son and the only possible outcome for him was to try and pull another peter out from another reality.I bet wen petter finds out about him being from an alternate univers he will freak nd something bad will happen maybe even a deathy will be caused s a chain reaction to his reaction. seriously i have no idea this is just my guess

I thought that too, except it could be that HE was undergoing the "tests" in an alternate universe, being administered by his version of an "Abusive" Walter Bishop. One theory is, Peter was taken from his reality by this Walter Bishop, and that is what caused the "rift."

In the finale Walter is in front of a grave that says Peter Bishop he live 5 years then died of an illness. This Peter is from the other dimension. Walter mentioned that he had to go there to get 'something he'd lost'

Peter was taken from the other dimension.

He died from a disease at age 7, but Walter Bishop took a "new" peter from that dimension.

See the last episode of S1 to understand it.

Its expected by the viewers for Peter and Olivia to become lovers. But I seriously doubt that the Fringe creators are into doing the expected. For that reason alone, I think Josh is right. Its brotherly/sisterly love. In the end I think that would be more interesting to watch. Being lovers would be sweet and lovely and ultimately boring.

Brotherly-sisterly? It's a guy actor thing. The same thing with a lot of tv -couple- actors. The actors always say "Yeah we kissed and had sex, but you know we will see where these two charters go" opposed to the actresses where they usually state that "aww ,yeah they are definitely an item now. And it's really cute"

yeah i would say its odd, but peter has been eyeing olivia's sister while she watches. so i dont know what the deal is with them, plus olivia has been kissing on scott and her ex before scott, not even thinking about peter or feelings.
