Nothing says psycho like a well dressed, eloquent, sadist... that's it's good as it's gonna get, and believe me, it ain't ever gonna that good again. You want a Chesterfield?
quite the fucking genetic shit........point is.....the acting,,im not an actor but when i watch this scene, i see a real script of reality,,, its beautiful.. and christopher walken is i swear the best maphioso..gangster i have seen,, hes older.. but looks good,, clean cut, fresh,, evil.. the best...and with comedy and a cackle his christ walken ways...... and then dennise hopper... jesus you cant ask for more...this scene,, is so overlooked.....youngsters, whatch this scene..learn something.
Yeah, but only for Sicilians. The rest of Italy (including the south) was genetically unharmed thank god. I'm not Sicilian nor is Tarantino which is why he wrote this scene. They're not niggers however. Arabic genes if anything since there were so many fucking conquests. It's like a crossroads to Africa with southern Italian mainland being the official start of Europe.
Brilliant scene but I always wonder if it would have been better if Dennis' role had been acted by a black actor and the character was Clarence's black stepfather instead. Either way, great, albeit offensive, scene! Love the classical music score as well!
its true sicilians are amazing liars..........people allways believe me if i lie...... i could lie on a dime i just instantly come up with amazing shit
you know besides the acting, the real brilliance behind this scene is the flawless writing(its amazing).i dont know if anyone remembers that Quentin Tarantino wrote this movie.
First time I watched this I genuinely thought Walken's character was playfully amused by the story, despite his terrifying under current. Then I understood what was going on. Fantastic acting.
A very subtle scene; credit to the director as well as the actors I suspect. Did you notice how Walken touches his mouth shortly after he says "I love this guy"? One of the 17 "tells" surely.
Dennis knows he's going to die a slow painfull death. So he insults them as much as he can to say Fuck you basically and to be killed quickly. But the funny thing is that the mafia guys...chris walken....loves his balls and respects that in a wierd way. If he whimpered and cryed for his life they wouldn't have had any respect. The best scene ever made...for me anyway
@ckholdem181 You're right about that. When you're in a situation like that, you'll say and anything to just get it over with, especially to protect your own flesh and blood.

The only scene I can think of to top this one is the diner scene in Heat( Pacino & Deniro).

Dennis Hopper is thinking: I'm dead I don't wanna get tortured then killed.
Walken is thinking: I'm gonna get answers from this man even if I have to torture him.
20 seconds later.
WHAT?!?!? You just made fun of my race! You have to die now!

@TheArtofUTube Race? Italians are white
imaStonesFan 1 month ago
@imaStonesFan Quentin outed Southern Italians in this scene as not being as "White" as they thought! That is why the person said race.
