I love this! Beautifully whimsical and creates a feeling of longing to go through those arches. I really enjoy seeing other artists' processes, so thanks for sharing!
I think it's good you submitted it, even though you didn't finish. I did the sketchbook project 2 years ago and never sent in my book because it wasn't anywhere near full.. next time I'll just send in what I have.
@RavenMDC Thank you! It's really interesting to go back and watch myself paint because usually I'm just so in the 'zone', ha, that it all just becomes one fluid motion and I'm not really thinking about what I'm doing. I'm glad I sent it in, too. There's always next project! I love the SBP because it helps me stay motivated to make art. I always have to have a goal, whether personal or for some other purpose. Thanks for watching!
@c2ktheotherartist It's not as much work as I'd have liked. I only managed to fill in 12 pages with artwork. The rest will have to be sent off blank. Oh, well, there's always 2013!
@holliesterr Well, it looks like I used on my favourite brushes by Connoisseur, which is a round #6, and then Master's Touch oval was #1/2, and Cotman Winsor & Newton #0. Hope that helps!
this is beautiful! I love your process. I am glad to see someone else besides me using watercolor. I honestly was super worried the paper would ripple really badly.. but i think now im a little more confident :)
@Bezmo871 Thank you. Yeah, the paper can warp sometimes. I just try to work around it. If it gets too bad on my bigger projects I let the paper 'rest' on a flat surface until the next day. It's not so bad with smaller projects, though. Thanks for watching! <3
awesome man..I am not interested in this type of drawing but this is cool..I always impressed about this type of drawing but i never achieved and tried to do drawings like that...
