I, myself, accept change. Some things don't change like religious foundations; as evident in the growing number of religious life and clergy in Russian Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, SSPX, Institute of Christ King S.P., FSSP, SSVJ, Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, Traditional Anglican Church of US and Canada, Traditional Anglican Church of England/Wales, etc..........
Why does pope Benedict XVI continue to use the so-called Bent Cross instead of the Traditional Papal Crosier? Some say it has satanic associations. Why the distorted and disfigured Christ; does the modernist VII think they have defeated Christ and His Church? Perhaps you would like to explain the popes modern Coat of Arms?
He uses a different crozier now, thats good. Now if he would only restore the Stations of the Cross that he butchered at World Youth Day, such as: he dropped the 3rd station, 4th station, 6th station, 7th station, 9th station, 10th and 11th were merged, 13th station dropped. All this to wimp-out to the Protestants and Jews. His coat of Arms is missing the Papal Tiara. I guess he doesn't want to above an local ordinary?
Um, those weren't the real stations of the cross. That was called "Reliving Christ's SufferinI would also like to point out that he replaced the tiara with a miter because, one, they don't use it anymore, and two, because he is a bishop before Pope.
Youre right. They were not the real Stations of the Cross, and they dont use the Tiara anymore, because they dont want to be Catholic anymore. They are now something bigger than the Catholic Church, new sacraments, canon laws, and catechism.
The New Church is now a church of warm huggies and squishy love using the word Catholic as a front. They should just give-up the name Catholic, they arent using it anymore anyhow. When since Vatican II have they fought for anything Catholic?
The Tiara is in no way the symbol of the Catholic Church (notice: I used the word "Catholic.") Last I heard, we bow to a crusufix in our Churches and Cathedrals. There are still only seven sacraments, like always.
I'd also like to point out that our Church's mission is not commerciallizing, but rather to spread the Gospel of Christ. Simple, isn't it. By the way, the Tiara is a crown, a sign of kingship, of which only Christ truely possesses. A vicar needs no Miter, a Pope needs no crown.
Before pope Paul VI gave the Tiara to the UN, it was a symbol of the Papacy. Now we have a pope who sports Gucci sunglasses and Prada shoes. Dont forget the controversial Santa Hat, emulating pope Pius IXs Tiara I guess. The difference is that B16 was never crowned (no coronation) as pope as pope Pius IX was. No, the seven Sacraments are not as they always were, the modernist have changed Jesus word from many" to all in the consecration of the wine. Thus your mass (small m) is doubtful.
The santa hat you are prefering to was created around 500 AD and has been used by most Popes during winter. Paul VI gave HIS tiara to the UN. There have been several tiaras. The red shoes are worn by every Pope because he is the head of the collage of Cardinals. And the word "all" is more efficient to a church whose name means "universal".
Please, do your research. I have seen no valid points from you.
FYI: Don't try to trick me. I know everything about the church.
The question is, whether or not you will be true to yourself?. Self-deception invariably involves an attempt to evade responsibility. To flipantly change the word of God in the consecration of the wine from 'many' to 'all' will be hard to explain at your judgement. Will you tell God you think the word 'all is more efficient because you know everything about the Church? At some point (before its too late I pray) you will have to take responsibilty. I suggest you work on your Senusus Fidelium.
this is kind of long winded, I am a Catholic and try to follow my religion but they ask alot of we Catholics. We should be teaching our children to be good members of society. To respect other people, and try to help the less fortunate.
Send our children to Catholic schools????? I don't think we need any more ignorant people. It is nonsense to teach them about religion when they could learning about much more useful stuff. There is no scientific evidence to support god's existence so teaching religion to our children is no different than lying to them
Rather you prove to me that there is no God. If you don't believe there is a God, why are you looking at this web site? The evidence for God is in your mirror. There is nothing more useful than saving your soul. Time is short.
How is religion useless, remember as Einstein studied the depths of the universe, he became increasingly convinced of a higher being (ie God). Let us thank our Lord for traditional societies.
Dear Oblatinem, could you explain to me WHY all as opposed to many makes a difference to the validity of the consecration of the host and the wine at the sacrifice of the mass.
The Church has always taught that for a sacrament to be valid it must have the proper form, i.e. (words). When the Novus Ordo changed the word from 'many' to 'all', they changed the word that Jesus used in scripture. Jesus said 'many,' not 'all.' I think He knew what He was talking about, and meant what He said, don't you? If Jesus wanted to be all-inclusive and ecumenical, He could have said something else, but He didn't.
7. According to the new theology, man's sin seems to harm only himself and society without being prejudicial to God.
The New Church has tried so hard to please man and other church's with its new theology, it has put man before God and is in violation of the First Commandant. Its new theology facilitates 70 percent of its bishops being homosexual, and everything's ambiguous. I'm okay you're okay.
5. The new theology has neglected the power of the sacraments and emphasized instead their meaning as nourishment.
6. By affirming that Christ did not die on the cross in order to satisfy the debt of punishment demanded by divine justice offended by sin, the theology of the Paschal mystery openly contradicts a truth of the Catholic Faith taught as such by the Council of Trent (Chapter 1).
Why would you trust in the leaders of the Church today? Have they proven themselves to be trustworthy & loyal to Catholic Doctrine?
Yes, the Pope has said he would like the word 'all' changed back to its correct form to 'many', but already he has been rebuffed, and he will not go against the Bishops.
The Traditional Catholic Latin Mass and the word 'many' has been in use since the Last Supper, (the first Mass) and codified at the Council of Trent.
Are you sure you are receiving Jesus Christ Himself at the Mass?
There must be proper Matter, Form, and Intention. There is doubt about that in the Novus Ordo mass. For example, in the consecration of the wine, the Novus Ordo has changed Jesus' words from 'many' to 'all', a Protestant concept.
What makes you think that you are in Christ's Church? The Novus Ordo has done everything it can to distance itself from 2000 yrs of traditional Catholic theology.
If the Pope weren't going against 2,000 yrs of Church Doctrine there wouldn't be a problem. The problem is, that those who think they know, don't study Church doctrine and think they are defending the Church, when in reality all they are doing is promoting non-Catholic worship. If one goes on-line and pulls-up a Presbyterian, Methodists or Episcopal worship service, one will see that it looks and sounds just like a Novus Ordo service. You are being hoodwinked and ripped off.
WOW!

I rather suspect that His Excellency is doing that to downplay the image of "jurisdiction", which the SSPX bishops deny possessing in a formal way.

Any other video, or if one happens to see him in person, he has his crozier. I figure it was lost in transit. Nice slam though...

I do say that is a fabulous cope the Bp. is wearing. Why is he using the processional cross as his crook (crozer)?

I dont know. I speculate that it was lost in transit?

Question: Why is he holding a cross shaped crozier? I'm pretty sure the use of that is barred from all bishops eccept the bishop of Rome.

Examples:
Remember, Matter, Form and Intention.
1. The Mass is based on the memorial meal, rather than on the sacrifice?
2. Emphasis on the presence of Christ in His word and in His people and diminished the importance of the presence of Christ as Priest and Victim.
3. The Eucharistic dimension has become more significant than the propitiatory aim.
4. The words "Mysterium fidei" have been removed.
Much more...
