@Atreyufolife That's "allowed" (hehe) When playing in a band, I generally stick to how things were written/composed. That quite often applies to solos as well be they guitar or sax. Playing solos as they are written is not exactly what one would all "copycat"
@spaceace653: I disagree (very respectfully)..but hey..y'know what the say about opinions everybody has one...(hehehe!)..Consider yourself invited to my "friends list"
@TheBass2themax: I agree! Insane knows Insane!! (hehehe) I see by your nic...you must be a Bassit,eh? One of my fav bass player is Mark "The Animal" Mendoza (Twisted Sister).
@Atreyufolife the solo is killer!! Vinnie absolutely demolishes it! The solo is the only thing that makes this version too cool!! The tune's too fast, the backing the harmonies are weak, but man that solo is RIDICULOUS!! That comes from a Frehley fan btw... PEACE
Wow I wish I was born around the COTN tour! what an amazing show too bad I was born in 1996 Vinnie is awesome (also whats the name of his guitar he used here?)
@FireboltAce: 1996?? Oi do I feel old now! (hahaha) It's great to see kids like you keeping the KISS legacy alive!! I had just turned 16 when the 1st album came out! Anyhoo...Vinnie's Guitar is a Jackson Randy Rhodes Custom. It's equipped with a Floyd Rose Whammy Bar system. I have a Jackson Rhodes myself but with a different whammy bar. Mine is a sort of gun-metal gray/blue.
@RedneckSpaceMan Hey where do you buy a Jackson Randy Rhodes Custom like Vinnie's? I love its design and sound. God Bless Randy Rhodes and his soul he was great with Ozzy!
Wow! I can't believe no one has commented on this video! I must concur with RedNeckSpaceMan, Vinnie "The Wiz" Vincent was most definately on top of his game here! I saw Vinnie back in '83 during the Creatures tour and I was lucky enough to be in 2nd row! When Vinnie was right in front of me I was standing on my seat and I pointed right at him and he looked at me and pointed right back! LOL, I know that sounds silly to some of you but I thought it was cool!
WHAT? You saw a COTN show?? In '83?? FAR FREAKIN' OUT! 2 FREAKIN' ROWS BACK! The reason Vinnie looked you in they eye and pointed back was because he saw an appreciative fan! You were there for him and he knew it! I was lucky enough to get 7th row seats (me and da wife) in Hampton last October! Paul Stanley came over to our side of the stage and my wife started batting her eyes at him! Tommy da Spaceman and Eric da Cat-Boy RAWK's like a couple o' mutha'z!! hehehe
1:48 you welcome.

does anyone have a lesson on how to play this solo?
kissarmyforever100 3 months ago
I think all KISS guitarists should be aloud to aloud their own style into old solos makes them more of a invidual then a copy cat.
