I think Donner and the Salkinds are a bit selfish when it comes to the series. They mixed, made it surround sound, fixed coloring and sound, gave extras and everything for Superman the Movie. Yet Superman 2,3 and 4 doesnt get any of that shit except for 2 which gets some bonus features. SOME. All because Donner didnt direct 2, seriously why not. Why only remix 1 and not the others....oh yeah cause he had nothing to do with it. STM= 4 disks with music and shit. 2= 2 disks. 3-4= nothing/

i always thought that Richard Lester left out one big detail when he took her directing Superman 2. What did happen to the other missle from the first movie? but now we can rest easy, because we know, released Zod! according to Donner.

i have to say i rushed and bought the superman collection when it first came out and was a little disappointed , that super man the movie was the only film that had the extra scenes put back into the film super man 2 n 3 doesn;t include all the deleted scenes fpr example like when ursa killed that boy was not in it lots of deleted scenes not shown in 3 and the donnor cut you can tell they did a lot of cut and paste with that movie but i am a huge chris reeve superman fan

I watched and loved Superman when I was a kid. It has been about 12 years and I can't believe I finally got a chance to re-watch the films all over now. I like Lois and Chris in the movie a lot.They really had great chemistry together.IAnyway, if you are interested to watch the fourth one I can send it to you. Who is SHia Lavoeuf? I don't know him. I found a site that has the 4 films. I dont know if the 4 films from the site were the orginal ones I don't know if the site has vrius or not, but if you anti-virus on your computer it should be protected. I've been on the site for several days and my computer is ok. I think Lois only appeared at the end of the film.She went on vacation. The 4th one was ok, better than the 3rd, but like I said I dont like it as much as the first 2 flms.

I never watched the Superman series with an objective eye. I just watched to ogle Christopher Reeve. Good Lord that man was gorgeous. I would lay in my bed at night, imagining what it would be like to give him some of this good "puddy". I guess @ that time, every woman in America wondered the same thing...:D

The Donner Cut is way better, but I agree with the lester comment its straight and to the point but lester had comedy where it wasnt needed like it was cheesy and very artificail. Basically cringe worthy. But donners sorta plays on you abit more emotionally I think anyways cuse theres a really good connection between clark and lois that lesters lacked I think. all in all two good films just donners is more dramatised and exciting.

yeah, how is it Singer lives in cutting edge technology time period but the Reeves movies look more realistic and cooler????? Prolly cuz CGi just has no weight to it's artificial butt. Half the time Reeves was actually 40-50ft up in the air by wires.

Yeah, exactly. But why'd Lester screw up on part3? I don't know wut Donner was thinking. It's like they both have an "excell only da 1st time" quality. Donner kikt butt with one, sukt at two (his cut). Lester kikt butt with two, sukt at three. Tho Donner is superior since Lester was springing off of Donner ideas and material. Good thing tho he was the one to finish da other half.

But the Donner cut of Superman 2 is awesome!!!

I'm buying the Ultimate Edition because you get all 5 movies, including Superman Returns, and the Richard Donner Cut, but you also get 3 different documentaries, and an offer through the mail to receive 5 Reproduction posters, and it will be cheaper to buy the Ultimate Collector's Edition.

If you get the Ultimate Superman Collection, it has all these DVDs, plus the Richard Donner Cut of Superman II and the special edition of Superman Returns.
