@42trombone Sir, I have to disagree with you. We didn't drive the Colts away, the Irsay family did. That's fact. So when we talk about how sports isn't a business and whatnot, don't blame the fans when the fans were the reason why that team had the identity it did. The irsay family did what it had to do for it's bottom line; they drove the Colts away.
This song is both a salute to the past AND a vanguard for the future. Sounds hokey but it's true.
As a born Baltimorian, I cannot wait to sing the new old song with new gusto when I go back home to west. What is old is now new again! For Baltimore and Maryland, they will fly on to victory indeed!
That stunk really stunk! Why do the ravens still want to keep remanants of the Colts that the now ravens fans and former Colt fans drove away! Could it be a guilty conscience on them????????
Scoza - The Ravens band has been around for over 60 years. No it's not college, but it's a tradition, and Baltimore is proud to have the biggest NFL marching band.
@scoza Check out a documentary called 'The Band That Wouldn't Die' - shows the band's evolution from the Colts marching band to the Ravens marching band. It's a very moving film, and if you lived in Baltimore when the Colts were around, you'll enjoy it! I'm a member of the band - we rehearse every Wednesday at the training complex in Owings Mills, and perform at every home game!
what the fuck this sucks!!!!

It's one of the few things leftover from the Baltimore Colts that the Irsay's couldn't steal! Our song, our loyalty and our hearts!

@scoza Dear, we have a band. An official, NFL associated band. I'm in it. It's part of the Ravens' legacy. An important part.
