Look at his punches in slow motion and you will see it start by him bending down then coming up while at the same time twisting his hips, waist, then shoulder into the punch. When he completes the moves hes finished in the crouch position again setting up for the other side. Thats way even when he misses hes in punching position which means your always in the danger mode.

But if you ever see a well executed liver shot ( on opponent's right side ), There is often-but not always- a delayed reaction after the punch is landed before the brain sends the signal that something terrible has just occurred. My point is, in a Tyson body shot, to either side I'm not just seeing the elbow drop to protect. What I'm seeing is a crippling delayed reaction to pain. But that's just me.

Simple, but brilliant. Thanks for the lead. Though I practice MMA; Muay Thai, old-school Karate and Judo (Judo for both stand-up and ground) are my primary stand-up approaches. Gracie BJJ is the primary ground game. I still study a lot of boxing. Best hand striking around. Mike will always be at the top of the list
