@Djman1233 So the Rane 56 also has 1/4" outs, also has rca outs as well. If you want to use the rca out you can always get the 1/4" to rca adapter, but I suggest using the 1/4" to xlr cable.
just bought some turntables and now im looking for speakers and stuff to buy. This is the best video i've seen thanks for actually showing what to do.
very awsome tutorial helped out a shit load awsome set up i then after you were all done with tutorial your like all right let me spin this shit and i was really waiting for a lil more FX cause i havent seen that pioneer in action yeti dont remember what my brother used to have but it was shitty but awsome video homie
@UnbornKamaza Thanks bro, glad it helped out. At the end, i was just really trying to showcase the speakers & how everything looked after it was all set up, & of course my silly scratching skills. Like I mentioned before, I really only use the Pioneer Efx box for mixing transitions, that's why I wasn't getting crazy on the efx, 'cause I was just scratching.. You can check out a grip of tutorials on the Pioneer EFX box though. Thanks once again.
@1DoubleMproductionS1 If u tally it all up, plus serato, and macbook, which i didn't show in video, your probably are looking at about $5,000 worth of equipment.
@SicMaggot5891 Easy. The speakers have XLR to 1/4" cables, so my mixer, has 1/4" ins...I actually connect them to the outs of my efx box. Remember that my speakers are self-powered, so no external amp is required.
@nnoyz1 Good video broham...i'm just getting started and I'm trying to decide on a speaker(s) to go with...mainly I will just be practicing at first so I don't need anything fancy but what do you prefer active or passive? and is there one brand that stands out above the rest?
@risalation Active speakers are the way to go, they eliminate carrying around and setting up amps. Especially since you are just starting off, make it easy for yourself. You can't go wrong with Mackie, the ones I feature on this video are awesome.
@peterg86 Pay ranges depending on the type of gig, it really depends on the DJ on how much he wants to charge...You can name your own price, if you feel you are top notch can really name your price!!!
@peterg86 Honestly if u tally it all up, plus serato, and macbook, which i didn't show in video, your probably are looking at about $5,000 worth of equipment. I'm currently looking in on investing on a Mackie Subwoofer which would run me about another G, so we can add that to the total, definetly not cheap, but if your serious about dj'ing and doing gigs, well worth the money, it's an investment!
Not too familiar with that type of set-up, but it sounds like your on the right path on doing what you want to do. You are messing around with Electro, right?
you can use computer speakers, but you are gonna need to hook them up to some sort of receiver, unless they are self powered, then you should be able to hook them up straight to your mixer, given that they have rca connections.
Look at Pro DJ shops, i wouldn't be quick to buy from regular retail stores for the simple fact that they don't specialize in dj gear...also try online.
You don't need an efx box to mix...but it does help to better your transitions while mixing...so it depends on the dj, whether he likes that kind of stuff, or not.
I actually started with Vestax the PDX series, loved them til my pitches went out, the Numark TT series are also good, make sure they're the heavy ones, not that cheap DJ in a box crap...i don't really reccomend the ipod decks, cause you limit yourself as a dj, hope this is helpful.
what do you use to connect the RCA out cable to the XLR cable for the speakers?

You don't need an efx box to mix...but it does help to better your transitions while mixing...so it depends on the dj, whether he likes that kind of stuff, or not.

Bullshit, never buy numark stuff.
