I got this game on the excellent Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection used for 10 bucks. If you own an Xbox360 or a PS3 I highly recommend picking that collection up.

Maybe not the most challenging entry in the series - that would still be the very first one - but definitely the coolest. Fuck that, it's the coolest dieselpunk ninja game, bar none (maybe minus Hudson's Hagane, which, however, wasn't half as great in the gameplay department). The modern Ninja Gaiden games might be great games, but in terms of art direction they're just horribly cheesy and, moreover, totally un-Japanese, as they build solely upon Hongkong movie clichés.

my favorite in the series graphics and music is great and the game is very easy to me but challenging just depend on the kamakazi attack as your main ninja magic and save it for when your about to die to keep you alive and me I don't block I just bum rush the stage with a all out onslaught

played this game on ps2 compilation and its probably one of the best looking best programed 16 bit games i have ever played.......its so good i have the cart on order....it really is a proper looking arcade game, it was delayed alot on release and lookig at the graphics a nd playability you can see why, really if you love games like this from this era, get it now!

I love Shinobi 3! I played it back on the Genesis when I was 7, but couldn't get past Mecha Godzilla! However, I got to play the game again on the Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection for the 360, and it was amazing! I beat it 3 times on the hardest difficulty, since it's so fun! n_n Thanks for the review, man! Great job!

Don't let the video fool you, the final boss is VERY cheap and VERY HARD. If you die and have the default 50 shurikins when you face him, that's not enough and even when using the lightning defense your going to have to do some jump kicking and hand to hand combat against the guy.

I just completed this game on my PSP using the save state feature for the last level cause it's cheap. Anyway, in a nutshell in my opinion the game is fun for the first....half...then gets you with cheap off screen attacks and annoying sudden deaths because you missed did one action. I give it a C. If the game gave you unlimited continues like in megaman, I'd give it a B. Also, there are 7 stages, not 8 from what I played. If he hasn't found anything wrong with the game, he's not looking

there are 2 things he doesn't cover that are important for controls otherwise your going to be frustrated.

1.Hold up next to a bar or the ceiling to cling to it.

2. To double jump you press jump again at the very height of your jump.

There are 2 other things in this video that weren't mentioned in the game instructions on my psp but he covers in this video. If you don't know these things the game becomes a burden, a pain to play and not fun.
