  • Yeah londen 0:11 mad drift

  • 8:38 skill

  • the amount of traffic in newyork and the size of the roads means the straight line riding is easier in new york, however, the london roads are usually clearer, so more space to move into if something unexpected happens. whose better?! i dont know, but i think london is harder overall. so london.

  • Get some london born and bred messengers to kick in around central london during rush hour and we'll see. But for me New York wins hands down.

  • what's the name of the song?

  • Get a London music, and a London congestion, and then well´be talking.

  • "hos better" looks like it means hoes better lol

  • I have tight black jeans, big dorky glasses,a flannel shirt, tattooed arms, a bright orange touqe tilted back and only drink PBR and listen to bands no one but me has ever heard of which makes them cool until others have heard them then they suck.

  • no helmets

  • NYC

  • name of the sound ?

  • If i saw one of them he wouldn't be on that bike after he went passed me. And he wouldn't be riding one for a while after.

  • yes, ho's are better

  • London has really bad traffic too. Picadilly circus at rush hour is the worst in my opinion.

  • def. new york. its much harder to maneuver and it takes greater skill

  • I start my bike messenger job tommorow :)

  • NYC is definitely more iconic. Even though it makes you one to kill one of them sometime, the bike messengers of NYC are cool peeps. :D

  • Just attention seekers who give cyclists a bad name. Time to grow up children.

  • @munteruk Totally agree - oooohh, look at me!!! I ride fast and miss pedestrians by millimetres (which are really small inches, btw) ooooohhh!!!! A bunch of guys whose (hos?) mothers' gave them insufficient attention as children.

  • So much open space... I wish we had room like that here

  • Actually, no i don't. I like that traffic. More fun

  • Obviously the New York ones are. The London ones are on the wrong side of the road.

  • lol 12 seconds in and someone falls

  • if i do this in malaysia, im sure grave is the best place for me

  • i'm a cyclist but i am happy to block them if they behave like this in my city. no wonder some motorist hates cyclists its because of these idiots.

  • I wish i could bring my fixie and ride in those cities :(

  • wankers

  • @yousaywuuut LOL

  • ny dont even ride fixed!

  • @STAYGNAR wot duss that mean ?

  • maniacs! idiots!! speed freaks!

  • London is the worst city I ever been to, new yorks better.

  • @DarkosApprentice Provably because you are poor... London it's the best city in the world!!!

  • @betzyluna

If I was poor i'd live in london where all the other poor homeless apartment dwelling dirtbags live, I live in a giant house on a farm in the U.S

  • Comment removed

  • @DarkosApprentice Sure... Oh, I see u live in a farm, hahahaha, That's why you didn't like London!!

  • @DarkosApprentice actually NYC has more homeless people

  • @TheGTAfan64

Wrong, Londons homeless rate per capita is higher. Also Londons murder rate is higher.

  • @dalewf10 Dale most robbers do not carry guns and most do not risk confrontation of any kind, robbing you when no one is home. However, if a robber somehow knew you were armed, I can bet that 99% of them are going to walk away. If you are being robbed, and have a gun pulled on him, he is either gonna run away, or obey you until he is arrested. 99% will not willingly engage in a fire fight with you. In the U.S., states like Texas where everyone has a gun, home burglary is very low.

  • London is the worst place in the universe.

  • @poolehart helmand province?

  • London is the worst place in the universe.

  • hos better ???

  • I think most people forget that in NYC everything is bigger. You're dealing with bigger cars, busses, people, and roads. Cabs in NYC often get up to over 40 mph and would mean certain death if hit.

Pedestrian traffic is also horrific in busy areas. Though jaywalking is a crime, everyone does is it and tourists don't know any better. The general congestion and poor road quality in NYC is also a huge issue which I feel gives NYC msgers a step up in terms of what they deal with on a daily basis.

  • @dtegg91 But props to Ldn msgers for having to deal with such a fucking confusing city plan

  • who's the band who's singing?

  • @mrflooo 2020 Soundsystem "Sliding Away"

  • @arandabay ITS A REMIX OF JOHNNY D ;)

  • Are you kidding me? NY has gigantic roads (a lot of them are one way) small buses, slow drivers and pedestrians that mostly cross the road on the crosswalk and when the crosswalk light is green not red. London has none of this neither does Paris...

  • @louilenin youve obviously never been to new york. or you are blind.

  • @fru1tpunch I rode my bike in all three cities I mentioned. New York was by far the smoothest one. Pretty much all crossings have the same configuration in ny. Just a big grid with large flat streets, and pedestrians where you expect them to be.

  • Ok so Ive never been to either so for me I think NY wins only because it seems they have more pedestrians to avoid

  • @RedNativeRose Try cycling down Oxford street on a Saturday afternoon. I am sure they have random pedestrian spawners down there... fucking everywhere

  • New York..better city.

  • @freshprince58

mmm, arguable. I've lived in both. Both good for totally separate reasons.

  • @freshprince58 thats ur opinion tho.

  • the reality is Tokyo is the wealthiest, with the population, probably the most technologically advanced ..... its a pity they dont speak english

  • London and NY or both dwarfed by Tokyo...booya

  • Over 800 languages are spoken in New York.

  • @ssaranillio Dont be silly.

  • NYC by far. your own video proves it. narrow streets with at most two lanes traffic each way and a few pedestrians crossing the street = somewhat predictable behavior. wide lanes with four rows of cars merging in and out of traffic and a metric fuckton of pedestrians = chaos. it's not just my opinion...take a look at the video.

  • SF!!! they have big big concrete roller coaster!!!

  • SF!!!

  • With the wider roads it looked even more dangerous because of MORE cars and pedestrians in your path which appeared to actually make you have to twist and filter through vehicle/pedestrian traffic even more so. It would seem a bit more predictable with narrower roads because it seems more orderly with less obstacles.

I'd actually feel safer on narrower roads while riding.

  • Londoners prob the best for the same reason as the black cab drivers are so good. The reason why London black cab drivers are the best Taxi drivers in the world is that the roads are not straight or wide and J walking is not a crime = constant mayhem, 24-7.

  • ny is the capital of the world

  • @jayallday52193 London IS the world ... and therefore the capital.

    Cheers ;)

  • @gamblemadman ha!! dont make me laugh everyone in the world dreams to come no NA and especially come to ny. ny has the biggest global impact then any other city. who wants to come to london anyway.

  • @jayallday52193 You need to do your homework kiddo. London has milions more tourists visiting every year compared to NY ... and its been like that for years. Fact!!

Dont get me wrong, NY is still cool ... just not as cool as it used to be. It has been surpassed by the greatest city in the world ... London.

The king has retaken the thrown.

  • @gamblemadman and thats mainly because thats the ONLY CITY worth going to when your in the u.k. besides that who the fuck would want to go to britain. and as i presume what qualities do london have that ny doesnt. ny has everything and more and though they both maybe alpha++ cities, ny is still looked at to be the greatest and as i said way more of a global impact than london.

  • @jayallday52193 Only Nooyoikers think that NY has everything that London has ... the rest of the world knows different. NY is no way as much of a global city as London is. London has over 100 more foreign languages spoke in it than NY ... it has by far more tourists than NY. It represents the world ... NY only represents NY. If aliens were to visit planet Earth they would land in London ... not NY likes you guys wish.

London is the global capital ... Get over it.

  • @gamblemadman if thts the case then why is ny considered an alpha++ city and consired amongst many sites where its considered to be the worlds number#1 city overall.

  • @jayallday52193 Hey im not sayin that NY aint a top city ... it's definately a close 2nd. And yes, it is an Alpha ++ like London. But it isn't as much of a global city as London.

London represents the world a lot more than NY ... if the world had one capital city to represent its inhabitants then that city would not be NY ... it would almost definately be London.

We can argue about this for ever ... you're obviously never going to admit that London > NY cause it hurts your ego as an American.

  • @gamblemadman sorry but the way i and MOST people see it. ny is the worlds capital city. ive looked on many sites where ny is looked up as number #1 and london sometimes wasnt even top 2!!! lmao btw i see it. your city cant compare let alone your country!!

  • @jayallday52193 Nope ...sorry but your patriotism blinds you. You cannot argue with the facts.

London is more of a GLOBAL city than NY ... so how can NY be more of a "world capital" than London?

London is the worlds multicultural melting pot ... it has more languages spoke in it than NY, it has a LOT more tourists visiting than NY, it has, overall, a more centralised place in the world than NY.

"World capital" is a symbolic phrase for "most global city" ... and London is the most Global city.

  • @gamblemadman says who cause i dont see it at all. london pales in comparison to nyc

  • @jayallday52193 What do you mean says who? This isn't just a mere opinion, FACTS are FACTS .. and the facts are that London DOES have more languages spoke in it than NY ... and therfore has more of the worlds cultures than NY ... look it up. London is a larger melting pot of world cultures than NY and therefore is more of a global city than NY ... and therefore more of a "world capital". Not because I say so .... but because the WORLD says so by choosing to visit and live in London more than NY.

  • @gamblemadman lmao!! idk what your talking about london being number1 i literally typed in "most global city" and ny was ranked 1 on all sites on the first page!!! some have london not even at number 2!! sorry london loses as ive said as a n overall global city london in no way shape or form can beat ny.

  • @jayallday52193 You mean all those bias U.S or mostly U.S regulated websites that are obviously gonna weigh the "scoring" criterias" in NY's favour? LOL.

Some of those sites actualy claim that NY is the economic capital of the world ... funny that, considering that London has more American Banks than NY and more Japanese banks than Tokyo.

Some of them actually give NY a higher score for architecture?!? LOL

NONE of them mention the fact that London has more world cultures and tourists than NY.

  • @gamblemadman because london doesnt.. your only talking out of your ass you have no back up info whatsoever to prove london is better...so with that being said deuces. you can look up pretty much any website and theyll have ny>>london. but ok belive what you want

  • @jayallday52193 I aint talking out of my ass ... you just dont like what you're reading kid.

London has over 300 languages spoken within its boundaries ... new york has less than 200 ... FACT !! I dont need "backup" to support this fact ... your just too lazy to type in to google " how many languages are spoken in NY/London"

More languages spoken = larger melting pot of cultures ... making London a more accurate representation of "the world" and therefore more of a "world capital" than NY.

  • @gamblemadman

wrong lol so wrong but nice try

  • @narutocaprirequest2 Is all you have to say? Where am I "wrong"?

  • @jayallday52193 cont...

London attracts 20 million international visitors per year, making it the world's most visited in terms of international visits.

New York attracts less than 10 million international visiters ... FACT.

I dont need to go to some U.S website with lame "scoring criterias" to tell me who's city is better. The facts speak for themselves ... London>> NY in terms of world cultures and London>> NY in terms of international tourists.

The WORLD has decided who's more important.

  • @gamblemadman sorry. but until you can prove what your saying it doesnt mean shit to me. ive clearly shown backup data and facts as to why i and many others, claim that ny is the most global city and the capital of the world..when you can show proof and facts about london....then let me know k?

  • @jayallday52193 Ok sparky ... google this - wwwbbccouklanguageseuropeanlanguagesdefinitions -(read the bottom of the 2nd paragraph) ... it mentions over 300 languages being currently spoken in London schools.

Then google this - mayor orders new york to expand language help - ( top of 2nd paragraph) ... it mentions 170 foreign languages spoken in New York .

300 languages in London compared to only 170 in NY ... so how can NY be more of a world cultural centre/melting pot?

  • @jayallday52193 cont ...

Now google this - Overseas visitors to London spend more than £8.6 billion in 2010 - (2nd paragraph mentions 14.6 million journeys made).

And then google this - official new york city statistics - nyc tourism ... (scroll down to "International Visitors to NYC 2000–2010") ... in 2010 the number of international visitors was only 9.7 million.

STATISTICAL EVIDENCE that suggests London is more of a cultural world centre and more attractive vacation destination than NYC.

  • @gamblemadman NYC is the cultural/financial capital of america. which does make is a vibrant city, Ive been to new york a few times (my dad worked there for 3 years) and I live in london. I can say that london is more of a world city for sure. itsnobody is expected to be 'british' they can just be who they are..

  • @gamblemadman key word: suggests, it doesnt state that london is in fact more cultural and attractive then new york. and still, it doesnt give london the title of :most global city: because if its one thing london has that ny doesnt, ny makes it up in just about everything else and thts why if we were to take a poll vote of who would choose to rather go to and live, im 100% sure ppl would choose ny>>london

  • @jayallday52193 Of course im not "stating" as "fact". We can only ever have an OPINION on this subject and a mere opinion cannot be stated as "fact". However, a smart person will form their opinions based on the facts and numbers that are put in front of them ... and the facts and numbers I have presented to you indicate London>>NY in the world culture and desired tourist destination department.

NY is a great place to live/vacate to, sure ... but stats suggest it to be not as desirable a LDN.

  • @gamblemadman aha!! and im still not convinced by those "fact numbers" that just magically makes london>>ny. the sites i sent in clearly states why ny is the number 1 city and HAS been the number 1 city since its birthed.

  • @jayallday52193 "Since it birthed"? Now you're getting delusional. Everyone knows that London was #1 up until the mid 20th century... and now its retaken its rightful place once again.

Look at a standard world map. See London? Its that city in the centre where the Greenwich prime meridian line sits ... the centre of the world.

London is the world in one capital city. If the planet had a single capital city to represent it then that city would be London kiddo.

NY aint even the US capital lol.

  • @jayallday52193 cont ...

Even new york newspapers are admitting defeat.

Google this .. London is the world capital of the 21st century ... says New York.

Then google these ... London crowned world capital city.

... London overtakes newyork as fashion capital of the world.

... London voted event capital of the world.

... London named shopping capital of the world.

... bon appetit ! London named food capital of the world.

Infact just google ... LONDON CAPITAL OF THE WORLD.

    Enough for ya?

  • @gamblemadman aha! i looked it up..all it said was london was the new fashion captial thts it. and tht site where supposely ny said london was never stated in fact london was the world capital..but building up too become the world capital which ny still holds tht title..good try though

  • @jayallday52193 What do you mean "thats it"? Obviously I meant for you to google all of those sentences individualy ... not just the first two. They are all seperate articles.

Look ... we can argue about this for the next month or we can just call it quits, cause to be honest with you im getting kinda bored with this back and forth.

    Its your call dude.

  • @jayallday52193 Apart from the number of sky scrapers, London beats NY in most aspects EG: London is Financial Capital of the world, NY comes 2nd. Best university in London ranked 4th world wide but Columbia NY's best university ranked only 11th. Yankee Stadium is most expensive in NY but its cheaper than Wembley Stadium in London. Madison Square Garden is so famous/busy but not as much as The O2 Arena in London. Biggest Park in NY is Central Park but its 3x smaller than Richond Park....CONT...,

  • @jayallday52193 Apple Store in NY is so huge but London has world's biggest one.Apartments in NY are very expensive but they are way cheaper compared to One Hyde Park that cost over $250mil per apartment. London Underground is worlds oldest it also has world's longest track.JFK is one of the busiest airport course, but its a joke compared to Heathrow Airport + London contains 6 airports within a city. London has poor living standard compared to other EU cities but still a lot higher than NY tho

  • new york duh!!

  • London the drinking age is - 18

New York the drinking age is - 21

    I think London Wins ;)

  • @DaleWF10

London the drinking age is - 18

New York the drinking age is - 21

Florianópolis drinking age is 18 but if ur underage and walk in the center of thsi city with a booze u'll wont get harassed by cops

but we can't carry guns outside our houses or shops, fuck Brazil

  • @hzsurfer Same I used to walk around with booze when I was about 13 you're just not aload to buy beer in bars shops or clubs until you're 18

And why would you want a Gun?

  • @DaleWF10 my protection adn protetion of my family cuz here if a robber knows that you have a gun they'll just piss their pants and leave you alone, we can't have nice things cuz they know that you are defenseless : / same goes to a simple bike to a ferrari.

  • @hzsurfer Doesn't work like that if Robbers thought you had a gun then they would just get a gun also and still rob you

  • @DaleWF10 people here are stupid they just can rob you and get shoot when they back off :P

  • @hzsurfer so why not just shoot the people in houses and shops instead? u dont have to move so much then!

  • NY - all straight roads and mostly one way...... London on coming traffic and more twisty roads.... LONDON WINS

  • @gjsart nyc has heavy traffic and more of a chance getting hit when running a red

  • @thecastman97 have you seen traffic in london? new york is bad, but so is london. especially when coming from a place where they drive on the right side of the road. first time on the front seat of a double decker in central is nuts.. lol you constantly think he is turning into oncoming traffic!

  • @gjsart NYC = worst drivers + larger cars + more traffic

  • @soulsurvivor52784

London = Even worse drivers, pakis, Small roads.

  • @DarkosApprentice whats the need for the racism

  • @trudon - Man, even racism makes on to random youtube video comments now a days... Racism is so 1990's...

  • @soulsurvivor52784 That's why they are Better !

  • @soulsurvivor52784 NYC= larger roads + more space + no small back streets = LESS DANGER O_o

  • There are around 66 Buses in the Video of London.

    66.

  • @Satisfactory121 why were you counting them?

  • haha dumbheads, both videos are made by lucas brunelle digave dot com haha even the riders are the same haha its just a drag race

  • holy shit those london guys are suicidal !!

  • NY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NY or london have nothing on Belfast! fact end of, next!!!

  • @charliec188 hahah im from belfast too mate :D

  • even though i was born in UK i found london accent so horrible xD the way they speak it sounds getto.

  • is this legal? they definitely dont seem to be obeying road laws , looks fun though

  • @amnesiaguess hell naw it isnt legal but you are right its really fun i do it in the atl and they dont appritiate it very much

  • ive been to both cities. New york is no doubt more crowded than London. i dont think it would be possible to ride bikes around the most busiest area of New York.

  • Wow Londoners are good , the only thing is i don't like their unfriendliness .

  • @rikinoki You think im unfriendly? Fuck you!!

    =)

  • @gamblemadman I do Fuck You

  • @rikinoki Fuck you twice mofo!

  • Hah that's how I spend most of my commute in london - on the other side of road, tooling past queues on the old kent road

  • What was the original song in this video?

  • @jmp51985 2020 Soundsystem - Sliding away (Johnny-d vocal mix). could be another mix but it is that artist/that song. :)

  • @vonhellswine That's the song in the video now. I mean the song that USED to be in this video.

  • @jmp51985 ah! sorry. didn't hear the first one :(

  • Yeap.. definitely the hos is better

  • the bikers in NY are fat

  • @jfeuiebf like your mother

  • @718LIGHTUP considerably bigger asses

  • @jfeuiebf buddy stereotyping isnt a good thing, they could be saying we drink tea and eat biscuit like the royal family but in reality we dont drink a healthy british tea, we drink loads of crap

  • @Hayri491 hehe , yes, sorry. It was winter in NY I think and they had more clothes on

  • @jfeuiebf lol possibly xD

  • よく見るとロンドンの方が技術高いね

  • 11 people did not get their packages on time.

  • New York !!!!!!!!! I Love NY :)

  • Ballsy skitch at around 8:15 that looked like it lasted a LONG time! Also, this would make a cool movie scene or music video if the NY crew didn't Stop peoples' flow and had some professional cams that reduced shakeyness. It could be r-e-a-l slick!

  • NY probably faster with those helpful taxi pulls, i suspect most London cabbies would try to smear you off if you tried something like that!

  • Said "Fuck!" for London 5 times for NY 55 times, but as pigsy65 said I've seen London a lot busier than this ;)

  • nyc requires that you have 3 balls to fly through rush hour with doors opening and yellow cabs ramming into you.

  • @Gongbuhae hahaha, agreed! :)

  • london requires technique to be messanger

  • New York is better than london, london has those narrow streets and cluddered streets you can barely ride a bike through, In New York you have much more space.

  • multi lane roads in nyc pose a big challenge for cyclists. cars, especially cabs don't bother to signal when they change lanes.

a fine example would be at 06:29 and 08:13

  • LONDON TOWN BABY ... NOTHIN LIKE IT.

  • new york..duh lol

  • New York wins. Way more moving obstacles involved. London has narrow streets but it's still less cluttered. Also if you hit a person, your in trouble and NY is way more hazardous like that.

  • Though it's sped up some way, I can see quite a few close calls in terms of collisions with light vehicles.

I wonder what the injury rate is among cycle couriers, and if their agencies, if they have such things, offer insurance against physical injury.

  • I think that New York is more awsome with als those blocks and the people on the crosslight that think: who'se that son of a bitch, haha! ;D

  • londoners;;won

  • Wow. As it is, I've had enough close calls, riding a bike at lesser speeds through normal traffic in a much smaller city. THIS is freaking insane. I love it.

  • as I get older there are things I miss, this isn't one of them.

  • I'm from Exeter and this is more than a weeks traffic here! We don't have couriers, everyone's too chilled out to have them racing around. "You need that? We'll be in that area - oh, let's see.... tomorrow? Yeah, probably then. Chill, we'll get there eventually." Love it! :)

  • It was London on a saturday afternoon.I'm a courier there and raced this.I'm taking my bike to NYC next week for the bike film festival and to ride around.I'll make the comparison myself.

  • Comment removed

  • This video is amazing, but I would cycle like that hahahaha but I think the londoners win

  • im a bike messenger in manhattan, and i tell you, those streets in london are the smoothest ive seen in my life. ny is filled with potholes and cracks in the street, besides, there are waaay more cars, and the cabbies have a vendetta against us...ny vs london??? give me a fckn break

  • Iam born and raised in the greatest city the world will ever know!!

LondonTown!!!!!! Thank God i was born an Englishman. But i will say, i do love America and New York is an incredible city.
