I love the APP Tabs Idea but there are no options and a few things need to be decided about APP tabs as a whole or individually. Options like Persistence (will it open next time I close re-open) or load the page only after I click the tab for the first time when in the browser (Keeping the loading times down). Its a great addition just needs some user dynamics.

Hey mozilla, I love Firefox but something that keeps pulling me back to Safari is the menu of pages that you recently go to or place there for quick access without having to type or go to bookmarks bar. Please try to include your own version of this on Firefox then I would definitely let Safari collect dust.

@MMlaif Yeah, speed is not all that, firefox is the safest browser or #1 browser for anti phishing and other malicious acts, but everyone has their own opinion.

A few suggestions;

- Add option "Past and go" link bar

- Remove bar titles, wast space !!!

- Remove {on link} "open a new windows" unnescessary !!!

- Remove this option "reload tab" never used it !!!

* The panorama button is too close to the close button! It's scary. It might be better suited directly underneath the "Firefox" tab; this'd actually allow room for bigger App Tabs by shifting everything to the right, too, which might make using them a little easier. It'd be a nice option to have!

* With Aero enabled, double clicking on empty tab space doesn't open a new tab; it maximizes/minimizes the window! It's something I and many others do frequently, so I'd love to see that fixed.

A few suggestions;

* Don't have FF autoload all the app tabs whenever I open FF; have the tabs visible, but only actually load the tab when it's clicked on. Boosts performance, and it doesn't have me signed into all my apps 24/7

* App tabs shouldn't be directly underneath the FF menu tab. It's awkward and more difficult to get to that it should be; I'm constantly clicking on "Firefox" by mistake, and I doubt I'm the only one.

Apps tabs = sweet. But full of FAIL b/c they need to have an OPTION to be able to OPEN every time you open FF. If you have to open them every time, whats the point? Should just be able to right-click once an app tab is made and select open on launch or something to that affect.

The App Tabs are worthless because they disappear once you close Firefox. So if I have to open them every time- what good are they? A good idea poorly implemented. Go copy from Chrome - their pinned tabs work.

Man, how the heck do you get the Minimize, Maximize, and the X to Close while having the drop down menu on the left? The 'Ribbon' I guess is what you 'could' call it. I just, always move my mouse to the far right hand corner of the screen to close firefox, just a force of habit, and I'm a bit lost as to how I enable this feature.

with Personas? Is this just disabled while they work out the kinks between the UI and editing it with Personas? I'm guessing thats the deal.

Closing your browser loses your app tabs. They should always persist no matter what, even if I choose not to remember other tabs.

I found a way to keep the App Tabs. Make more then one App Tab ans use "always save tabs" on exit firefox... but that should have worked in the beta...

Imagine some kind of balloon coming out of the google calendar tab saying you have an apointment in 5 minutes. Would be very nice to have that :)

This feature is terribly implemented. Do you have to reinstall programs every time you restart your computer? Why should you have to remake app tabs every time you close and re-open Firefox? Im stickin with Chrome for this feature.

@utubeb14 You really don't know how Firefox is developed... They don't rush things out. What's done is done, and when the time comes to release a beta version, if there are no blockers left, they release it. App tabs have like 10 separate bugs at bugzilla. One is for the styling (fixed), one is for the remember the state through sessions (fixed), another is to keep them in a separate process (not fixed), another is to remember the ALWAYS (not fixed), to keep them through different windows.......

In FF4b2 when I close such tab it completely disappears from tab strip. So it's just normal tabs without text, not anything like "pin program to taskbar" function in Windows 7.

Nice that this will be standard equipment soon. But does not seem very different from what the add-on 'FaviconizeTab' has offered for a long time for earlier versions of Firefox (and I have been using it). Faviconized tabs can, additionally, be specified with the browser's built-in 'Protect Tab' option so they are not accidentally closed.

As of 4.0 beta 2 they are not working... They do not open with the browser and they change if you navigate away from them... :(
