G20 Riot in Oakland, Pittsburgh

This was not a riot. It was people running from cops.

"rioting" (if you want to count people breaking bank and business windows) happened in another part of Pittsburgh. This was the cops having a field day.

This is not a Pittsburgh problem Marshall Law threatens everyone.

President Obama and Mayor Ravenstahl both oversaw the planning of this disaster. They stood by and watched the frightening consequence of their work deliberately terrify and deny innocent citizens their right to peaceful protest, with or without a permit.. Neither lifted a finger to stop it. Responsibility for this debacle rests fully on their shoulders

I am a former Pitt student and a previous photo editor of the Pitt News. In 1991, the pirates went to the playoffs and the students filled the quad and Forbes Ave to celebrate. The police did nothing because the students weren't hurting anyone. In 2009, the police encounter fewer students gathering peaceful and throw tear gas and rubber bullets at them. The Pittsburgh police should be ASHAMED! This is DISGUSTING!!! I guess the 1st amendment doesn't matter anymore!!!

Yeah... a bunch of kids were doing another peaceful demonstration at the park... they represented the bloc, but they didn't actually do anything illegal but break park curfew.

Obviously, any other time someone breaks the park curfew, they are also met with beatings and a LRADache.

Lol, cmon Americans. You guys have put up with so much shit from the government and the banks. You guys should have been revolting since the inception of the bailouts for Wall Street. Oh bite me, we have no reason to be violent yet, just because the government is stupid doesnt mean we should yell at them. FFS we elect them, they are us, and in 4 years or so they will be out unless we elect them again. Iran is different, they get the same guy no matter who they vote for.
