  • can you make a comparisson between d7000 and d300s?if i where you?what will you choose?

  • @DiitalRevCom hey guys, if i want to earn money with my pics, which camera is better for me, D7000 or the D300s? Would be great if you could reply soon. Cheers and keep up the good work!!!

  • @7mt7 you want a VERY EXPENKIVE RENS for da SHARP PICTCHA. and dont forget da 2nd rens with rearry wide aperture for BOKEHBOKEHBOKEH.

  • @7mt7

You need to buy 3 different 50mm lenses, then perform the magical moneymaking ritual and the millions will start pouring in.

  • @skulleton cool story bro!

  • @7mt7

Thanks, I'm glad you appreciate my advice. Now go make that money with your camera brah!

  • this guy is such a dooouuuccchhhheeeeee

  • Никон - гавно! Кэнон - заебись! Я отвечаю.

  • Is that white dot to the upper right hand side annoying anyone else or is it just me?

  • nice!!!d7000 great video!!!

  • I bought this mid- June last year and I absolutely love it.

Street, Landscape, sports and portaits, it does it all.

  • Canon eos 7d - Nikon d7000

  • i've been seeing your vids for a while and you have inspired me to get into photography, I have very few experience with DSLRs so i have a question. Do you think a D7000 is too much for a newbie or should i get the D5100? I´ll appreciate any suggestions.

  • @LoRdKrusk get the d3100. great camera for an even better price thats what i did

  • Nikon should really change their assist lamp to the ones sony dslr have. I notice that during street photography or candid that the lamp actually ruins the moment of my shot since people notice a very bright light shining on their faces which is basically ruining my style.

  • @burgos041 easy. just turn in off.

  • @gibor4975 AF is gonna be less effective then.

  • Been watching many videos on the D5100 and D7000. I have a tight budget so is the D7000 worth the extra lump of cash rather than getting a D5100 now and wanting to upgrade in the near future? Also, kit lens or something else to get started with? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

  • @JynxMeNot get the D7000, u get in-camera auto focus engine which u don't get in D5100...this means u can use older lenses like the 50mm f/1.8 D which is cheaper than the new G version

  • "It's here the new Nikon D7000 and I jizzed in my pants, lets take a look"

Eh, no thanks... I don't want to see the jizz in your pants thanks very much.

  • @TacticalHadoken

Only the first section of your statement was necessary for a successful joke. The second part really holds it back, in terms of comedy.

  • Incredible good crop dslr, the photos is amazing, though myself regret i bought the kit lense with it, so i would think what lense to get or only the house and get a other lense that you want. Replaced my D40 year ago and haven`t looked back! Run and buy!

  • Great camera. I recently shot this pop promo on it: you tube /watch?v=bOHOIKfQzRk

A bit clunky to use as a video camera but results are fantastic.

  • Sony A77 is no good at high iso compared to Nikon D7000.

  • yeah the sony is only good for video

  • @exile4ever D7000:I am the King of the combination!

A77:i am a piece of rubbish.(sorry Sony user...)

  • Fuck it! I'm buying it! :D

  • sony is more good!

  • This is the best crop sensor from Nikon, I know I have one :)

  • Hoping a D7100 makes it out soon. Looking to upgrade from my d5k. Love the 5000, though.

  • i HAD the D7000, now i have a Sony a77.

A77 is MUCH MUCH! better.... but also cost more

  • @StevenTheSeagal How is the AF on the A77? It looks like an action packed DSLR with a ton of features. How is the High Iso Noise handling and characteristics?

Thanks for the feedback in advance.

  • I REALLY want this camera, but I am just starting photography, and can't afford this...

  • This was my birthday present!

  • Come on Kai, can't believe you were playing with the AF illuminating lamp like you have never seen one before on other camera's.

  • i can't afford it, i'll have to be happy with my d3100

  • to pbcms13. go to England and u will find plenty u dumb fuck retard.

  • What camera did they use to make this video?

  • this cam with a macro is fucking amazing hands down one of the best dslrs i have ever used :D

  • Comment removed

  • This is my graduation gift. YAY \(^o^)/

  • Ive never seen an (Bristish Accent) asian jerk, acting like a "WhiteBoy"

  • @pbcms13 It's former british colony, what accent he should have?

  • I am not sure how this works! I have never posted a comment ~ but could someone tell me what LENS is being used with the D7000....

Now i hope someone PLEASE replies ~ how do i get back to this thread is another matter lol...

I so like the look of it ~ i have already made a mistake in my 1st lens & help is required;~)

This one looks perfect & i want to know more .... M

  • @Maevemia 35mm 1.4G AF-S

  • @Maevemia

The discription below the video mentions the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED.

  • @Maevemia It's 1700$ Nikon 35mm f/1.4G, but don't buy it. Buy 199$ Nikon 35mm f/1.8G AF-S DX instead... it will provide similar results for the beginner for fraction of the cost.

  • This was easier than i thought! Answer comes through my Gmail;~)..... Thank you for reply. It is good to know someone out there understood my question lol.... It is the cheep mans version of the 50mm F1.4G i will get.

Now question also looking for medium length 17 55mm F2.8AFS? I have the 18 200mm & it is driving me nuts as i like to carry camera & the barrel keeps creep out? I am look for 3 lens need it right this time!

I have long range 70 300mm. Am try to get 3 perfect! Sry dont know U name

  • @Maevemia That 17-55 are great lens but it's heavy. There is a saying, the worst lens are the ones that stay at home because its chore to carry it.

For street photography the 35mm 1.8 is the best price/weight/quality choice.

For architecture/landscape I would go with Tokina DX 11-16mm.

Zooms like 18-200 are compromises, so you need to decide whether creep and distortion is worth having just 1 lens in your bag (it often is).

Any better Nikkon zoom will weight a 1kg (2.2 pounds).. soo..

  • @urwrongoninternet

Also this must be for life so i do not want to be penny wise & pound fool! Would you trade in the 18 - 200 for the 35mm & 50mm?

That way i think i have short mid & long? Were are you from? I do not see your name either ~ best Maeve

  • I think all cameras take pictures..

  • This is my birthday present. :D

  • @Iamalivefornow

i want that for my bday present too...even i had one :D

  • i've started a film class , and am anxious to start making documentary type videos/and movies, is this the camera to buy ??

  • @TheKoisOne Honestly, in my opinion, look into Cannon for video performance.

  • Top gear for cameras

  • I'm getting one tomorrow for TAFE ;D! Im so excited.

  • Kai, if you ever leave the show, I will so be pissed! You are great!

  • Comment removed

  • d5100 user here and im looking to get the 7000... manual video controls beat the swivel screen anytime! xD

  • 8:11 hahaha :'D

  • what camera did you use to shoot this video ?

  • chinese austin powers

  • Oh how I hate the shitty Youtube-compression. Black looks so awful. Especially visible in black and white photographies.

  • saving for this piece of sexy machinery

  • I Just bought it...cant wait to get it! :)

  • @N0TJ0K1NG it's pure awesomeness..

  • @N0TJ0K1NG relevant user name ^^

  • @MrSleepingMonkeys was thinkin the exact same thing...

  • What I dont like about Nikon is the tiny little important buttons on the left side of the lens that are difficult to push/reach

  • what camcordder recorded this vids?

  • @khmeraustrian i think the usual 5D

  • Is this camera good for Skateboarding? i need a quick AF ... Live View AF isnt much importand :)

  • Did you check what the live mode does when you take still pics? slowest shutter speed of 1/30 and it doesnt show you the correct image on the screen when you play with the exposure.

  • @UniversalPotatoSoup dont agree

  • This is my ever first video i have watched in DRtv

  • just reading through these comments and all people seem to be saying is " aw, i'm poor so i have to sttle for the d5100 or d5000" at least you have a dslr, people don't even have a dslr, let alone even have a camera. So be grateful for what you have!

  • @UniversalPotatoSoup so what?

    better lenses for the Nikon!!!

  • lol man so funny.. "quiet mode" u press it down and you go somewehere else..:))) it reminds me of bugs bunny :)) hahaha

  • Did anyone else notice that dead pixel or dirt on the video?

If you stop at 3:37 you can see it on Kai's face.

  • @kk6downing THAT'S TRUE!

  • 3:53-4:00 lol.. looked like a retard man. no offense :)

  • My parents bought me the d7000 about 4 days ago. All I can say for this camera has already been said by millions - great performance, really fast, and extremely lightweight.

I've bought a 50mm f1.8D to start with the camera, because It's a great lens, razor sharp, and super cheap. It all costed me about 1200 euros.

I highly recommend this camera to everybody, you won't regret a thing! So happy to have it as my first DSLR!

  • @TheLazarNikolic wow, your lucky that your parents bought you a fairly expensive camera as your first dslr. I got to play w/ one and loved it, it completely blew my d3000 out of the water. but it was all i could afford and make the most out of it

  • @TheLazarNikolic It is pretty good but not the best. My first Nikon was the D60 than D90 than D7000 than D700...

  • @according206 I didn't say it's the best. :) Of course, the d700, d4, d3s and d3x are better, but those are FX cameras. This is the best DX camera from Nikon, and, in my opinion, the second best DX DSLR on the market. :)

  • anyone know the name of the song at the end?

  • Getting it!!!

  • Yea I have no money so im sticking to the D3000 and my pictures come out perfect for me, even tho id love to have that one.

  • This is like Ghost town? Nobody were around you..

  • my new year 2012 gift ... it fantastic ever i had .... much more than a camera the D7000 it make my life more beauty it just hold in my hand from the end of last year (2 days ago...) Great picture for my shot ever.

  • Kai is awesome!

  • i bought this camera last august,it'a agreat camera but very tricky when it comes to focusing..still i can't reach the sharpness of my old but trusty d40x,and of course you have to buy really expensive glass for d7000 to get the right result, otherwise it's a really great and strong camera with tons of features

  • Hey Kai W what about a review of Pentax K-5, i would like to see if it's better than nikon D7000:

  • got the d7000 with the 18-105 lens, but i'm having serious manual focusing problems that i never had with the d3100 with the 18-55 lens. any suggestions?

  • This is my dream camera right now. I'm drooling over this video right now.

  • @acovino89 same emotions and feelings !

  • Just got the D7000 yesterday. I'm so happy!

  • @MusicMonsterxCa You are sooo lucky! I wish I could have one! I have been saving money for it for 4 months now, to find out later on that my parents had to take the money and pay some things, because we are very poor. :(

How does the d7000 serve you? :)

  • Would this camera be a good choice for an amateur photographer who is barely getting his feet wet in the photography world??

  • @videolover7 You should start out with a Entry level camera first and slowly spend your money on lenses then upgrade to the D7000. But the D7000 is still a great camera to begin with just remember to buy a 50mm F/ 1.8 (Nifty fifty)! (that's my opinion!)

  • @videolover7 my first SLR camera was a D3100 that i was constantly signing out from school. now i've moved on to the D7000, but the D3100 was a really good camera, considering how cheap it is.

  • dead pixel on canon

  • Mr. Noisy, noisy house party. :]

  • I got the d7000 about 5min ago.. :)

  • Good review, I found this useful when I first had to decide between this and a 7D.

  • few more days until santa brings me one.... excitment!

  • I want this camera so bad.... I have a Nikon D5000, and I want a upgrade. Anyone want to trade? :p

  • this guy seems like a douche....

  • Love this vid.ordered my D7000 tOday.

  • are you in the UK? :\ cuz it doesnt look like it... but it says so in your profile. looks more like singapore or something. ._.

  • @drummerxkun hes from Hong Kong

  • 5:07

press it, and you can change the focus point, by twitting the dial here(by Kai)

    but it is wrong

    it should be:

"press it, and you can change the focus method(AF-Auto, AF-single,AF-Continue), by twitting the dial here

focus point is only for AF-S mode and change it by the arrows!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm to poor for the 7000 :( so I have to be happy with the 5100

  • @jjse2450

    lol... me too..

  • @jjse2450 I want a d5100 soooooooooooooooooo bad!

  • @jjse2450 Not me, I have the money and am getting it as soon as my money comes in from the IRS :D

  • Dear Kai,

I am a mid range photographer. My recent dslr was a canon 550d. I want to take better video and take nice wide angle photos. I am stuck between the A77, The Canon 7D, and the D7000. My budget is $2000 and I am having a hard time deciding. Please respond with an answer.

  • @FrozenXM898 good question hope he answers

  • @FrozenXM898 Forget the 7D, the autofocus inconsistencies are very poor. Returned mine last week.

  • @FrozenXM898 You have same specs on 600D as on 7D, but 600D offers tilt screen and its way cheaper

  • bokeh

  • @klok22 Cheers.

  • What kind of Asian has an English accent like this?....Really?....

  • Anyone know what lens is being used here?

  • @AirbusTD Nikon 24mm 1.4

  • @AirbusTD nikon 24 1,4

  • I'd rather get the D7000 then settle for less.

    and yes I'm 13.

and yes photography is that serious to me.

  • test it on day time not in the night time..

  • In Brazil the D7000 costs the same as 4.513,91 dollars, I am 13 and yes I WILL BUY IT no matter how long it takes.

  • @543luciana u dont need that if ure 13...

  • @SerbianThug yes I do because I am going to work with it next year. please shut up.

  • @SerbianThug Sure she doesn't need that camera if she is 13.

  • @fiababey14 me too

  • hi, which one is better? Nikon D7000 / D300s / D90 / Canon 60D? thanks for the reply :)

  • @ferraribecks if you already have a nikon, then the D7000, is good, i guess. But the D90 would be a better camera to start with.

  • At 3:10 I tried to get out of the way o not be in the picture

  • That makes my two cannon power shots look like baby toys. Must have it!

  • AWWWW NAUGHTY

  • @SuperSneakyNinjaMan opps...i think you are the user...sorry...

D7000 is a good camera,i am using it for not more than 1 week

    i love the D7000~!

  • @SuperSneakyNinjaMan D5100/D3100 is enough for a new user...it is much easier to use,and more cheaper!

  • @SuperSneakyNinjaMan Hey kiddo, if u didn't get any donations go on PFMAGAZINE's website, they're hosting a contest and the prize is a d7000, u do have to put in a little effort though. Good luck

  • @SuperSneakyNinjaMan you're paying your mom's bills at 14? That's tough man

  • It's a complete step-up from a D5100. I love mine but rent a D7000 and live with it for a day. Chances are you won't want to send it back. It just does everything better, faster, crisper. The D5100 earns its spot with me for being lighter and it's swiveling screen which is great for those creative moments.

  • Oh. How i wish i could get that lovely camera...

  • sushi!!!

  • Trolling in Wo Che

  • this camera is pretty expensive and great but it's sadly out of my price range

so could anyone tell me the best camera under 1000 australian dollars and im willing to buy online!

im currently looking at the canon 60d or the nikon d5100!

    Would someone help?

  • @97purna the D5100 has the same sensor as the D7000. only thing the d7000 has 39 focus points and d5100 has 11. so i would get the d5100 and just get the body only. or you can get the d7000 body only for 1000 bucks amercian. Then get a better lens like a 35mm 1.8G for 200 bucks.

  • Chill out! The D90 still is a great camera! Replacing one model with another doesn't mean the replaced model is bad now. It's still as good as it was before, but the next one's better.

  • Watched quite a few of your shows lately as I have been researching like a mad man into buying a DSLR, am I wise to sell my video camera in exchange for a DSLR?

Great show, great presenting style easy to follow and entertaining, keep up the good work guys, you got a sub here.

  • I have D7000, happy with it.

  • Wow... guys there is stunning deal ($1099.00) on amazon for D7000 check this

    amazon.com/gp/product/B0042X9LC4/?tag=gadadige-20

  • i would buy a d7000 but there's just ONE thing stopping me. it's NOT weather sealed!! i need it

  • Comment removed

  • @ascaro7 haha me, a fucktard! read the specs, watch the vids, it only has a mag alloy top and base plate. do your homework, wanker.

  • @tarantulaman1720 whoooops my bad, how embarrasing lol

  • @tarantulaman1720 Actually, it is weather sealed.

  • @Synnergy08 yeah i know now lol it's just that i was told quite a while ago it wasnt. BUT i looked into it and it say's it is. so there we go, all sorted.

  • Can someone tell me what lens is he using? was it a 24mm 1.4, or a 35mm 1.4?

  • Had my 60d little over a week and just taken it back this morning and exchanged it for the d7000, instantly fell in love with it, just feels better in the hands so worth an extra £100

  • I have a nikon D90 2 years now but i don't no what to do

do i get the nikon D7000

    or what help help help

    Like to upgrade.,.,.,,.,.

  • @colxdark I'm a Canon guy and i envy D7000 very very much, checkout cameralabs detailed review, it has everything a photographers need and that silent mode is exactly what i want. But I cant get D7000 when theres Canon 7D which is only slightly more expensive. If I had Nikon system, I wont hesitate to get D7000. this camera is for the long run just like 7D.
