I'm having a bit of an issue :( after clicking on properties and going to the sharing tab. underneath the first box it has ( home networking Center) and it tells me to select a private network selection. what do i click ( i have Window 7)

If there isn't a sharing tab, go to C:\windows and delete the folder "system 32".

The files in this folder are and advanced firewall, that windows uses to stop external machines from using it's internet connection via bluetooth, ethernet, or what ever... It's pretty much pointless, unless you have SUPER IMPORTANT files on your computer.

what he didnt tell you is that after words if it screws up on the connection bridge it gives you a BSOD blue screen of deaath and you have to totaly use a recovry and delete everything off your computer to a factory default. i know it happened to me and you will get 0x000000D1 as the problem. so use at yuour own risk.

basically we told the pc to allow "other" machines to connect via this pc... bridge connections are, like windows install, more automatic than in xp, and tbh im not sure i like that...

if there is no sharing tab: right click computer in the start menu and click manage; double click "services and applications" and then "services". Find internet connection sharing, double click on it and then make sure the startup type is automatic. Apply this, then go to the recovery tab, select "restart the service" under subsequent failures and set "restart service after" to 0 mins. click ok and the sharing tab should be back. this worked for me.
