I never cared for how leggy the mechs look in this.. like how there almost isnt enough room for them between the mech and ground. Still, the game look sbetter than mechwarrior 4 besides that. Wish I had known about this game. Ended up going from MW2 to MW4 vengeance, sadly. Nice game. Maybe I'll get it someday.
Err... I'm no tech guy and I've never had any problems running MW3 on any comp. But, like I always suggest when people come to me for help, is to go to the MW3 Community Project Forums and ask for help there. The guys there know a lot more than me and will probably be able to help you out.
@Meredith1234567890 I have read that an older Operating System helps. The newer Vista formats can lead to crashes. The Millenium edition or MS2000 was the last OS that ran Mech3 well. I know this might be a radical step but having a dedicated PC for Mech 3 as well as some of the older games may be the best bet.
One word...Sunder. It's got height for observation, speed and nice weapon carrying capability. Add the armor potential and I'll face anything in one of those.
@gasflame62 I've found the best way to take out the Anihilator at the underground Mech factory was to send the other 2 mechs after it and then enter the factory area in a Thor loaded up with 4 ER Large Lasers with the rest of the spaces taken up with heat-sinks. Shoot a leg and DON'T MISS, for if the Anihilator gets up, it's over! It seems to be 'the' unbeatable configuration; heavy long-range firepower if loaded up with the Clan double heatsinks, good speed and armor.
Fastest way to knock out a mech is shooting the leg. That way, you can salvage a mech at the end of a mission as opposed to hitting the torsos all the time.... For all the mechs in MW3, Avatar seemed to be the toughest one for me to deal with...
Legging ftw. And I seem to have the hardest time dealing with pumas. (Or Adders for you clanners out there) Light buggers with dual ppc's. That just says pain.
Probably around when it first came out. I just never could beat that thor. Back then I didn't know the tactic of blowing their legs off. I always aimed for the arms and torso
I don't have mechwarrior 3 anymore sadly since it didn't run on my computer and I had it before i knew about that mechwarrior compatability forum. Sold it a while ago
Damn dude, you can tear it up, great game, love the walkthrough, great work...

MAN. I'm so mad, lol. MW3 still crashes. I cant do Campaign at all, and I still crash every few minutes on ANY other mode. And tips or ideas?

No, I just shoot at the back, less armour and wait for the engine to explode - couldn't care about salvage

My favorite 'Mech is the Madcat. It's a good combination of firepower, size and design. It's good for any mission. What's your favorite 'Mech?
cmgTFfan1084 3 years ago
For the boardgame, the CPLT-K2 Catapult. But on MW3, it's the Adder. (Or Puma for you Inner Sphere's.)
Griuqs 3 years ago
The Puma? That 'Mech isn't bad, although I didn't like it because of it's size.
cmgTFfan1084 3 years ago
That's the very reason I liked it. For it's size, it kicked ass. xD

This is as far as i ever got. The thor kept pwning me :( my dad beat this game though
OverwatchSniper 3 years ago
Really? How long ago did you play MW3? I find that if I can't beat a game, if I come back to it a few months or years later it's a cakewalk.
Griuqs 3 years ago

Legging: A small tactic that makes a big difference! I'd recommend playing through it again now if you can though, it's well worth it.

You are going to post more videos of MW3, right?
cmgTFfan1084 3 years ago
When I get my computer back, of course, right now my mom took it someplace because I'm a "bad boy." =(
Griuqs 3 years ago
Oh, I see. Come back soon, OK? I really like your videos so far!
cmgTFfan1084 3 years ago
Thanks, and I'll try and get back up and running ASAP, trust me.
Griuqs 3 years ago
Nice. You even got some good Clan equipment salvaged. And since your teammate ejected, you owe him a mech, don't you?
blackyoshi1230 3 years ago
Heh heh... better I owe him a mech than him being dead. Besides, the good old MFB buddies fix it up like new for the next mission.
Griuqs 3 years ago
What do they do, just pick it up, replace the damaged parts and polish it? =D
blackyoshi1230 3 years ago
The world may never know...

At 4:22, I was like OMG, what is that? Then
I remembered, oh it's an escape pod. Then that Thor appeared and I took care of him personally. And to think I kept Dominic alive the entire mission!
cmgTFfan1084 3 years ago
It's kinda sad how you have to shepherd your lancemates through every mission. Ah well.
Griuqs 3 years ago
I 'm sort of a veteran at this so, yeah I know what I'm doing.
cmgTFfan1084 3 years ago
I'm no expert, but I'd say Squi is good at this~!
So, where was the part where your friend started messaging you? xD
Chibity 3 years ago
Me? Nah, the guys from MW3CP hand my ass to me everytime on multiplayer.
That.... was in a different video. And I re-recorded so the constant beeping wouldn't distract. xD
Griuqs 3 years ago
Ahh xD
