  • Can I do a series-parallel-north coil-south coil-off on a single pickup (i only have a bridge pickup [4 wire] ) using a 5 way DPDT switch? I loved your video bcus I finally got to hear what split vs parallel sounds like.

  • @Jayakiran1 Yes you can. That is basically what I've done. Except I used a 4-pole switch because I have 2 humbuckers.

  • @scorpion097 Thnx, I will find a 5 way DPDT now.

  • Very nice demo! One of the best! I really enjoyed hearing the difference between in-phase and out-of-phase middle position humbucking pickups.

  • lovely beard

  • Really cool!

In the last two samples you can get the LP sound (N+B in phase), and a twangy Telecaster sound (N+B out of phase).

    Awesome.

  • Yep I love phase reversion, although the one I use mostly is the mid_neck, which I did not sample.

Phase is really cool but it is completely hit or miss. Depending on the pickups it can sound really cool or really terrible.
