@Silverchair84 I somewhat agree with you there, he should have put his time and money into preventative maintenace definitely. Maybe a small oil leak wasn't much for him though, I know I'm picky about my cars though.
what a screwed up show. watching this guy diminish the value of this guys love. his car. i think he should've just kept his car and picked up a second job until his loan was paid off or just got an older car to not have to worry about all the loan issues
Yeah you're right that guy was very picky indeed, also the way he looks at that drop of oil with his keys at the end is a very dumb action, what was he thinking it could be else? sirop? my god what a tool.
And that guy who was checking before what kind of idiot was he?
15.000 miles more than the clock is showing, a year older then he thaught? how can he see that without proper equipment, the date when it hitted the road is standing on the papers for christ's sake, how dumb is he?!
@gazmini69 better than all your english trash in his time it whas better than any english peases of rust and trash VW stays: payeble for people hwo can afford a mercedes or in your language JAGUAR :P
vw dilivers nice work even in 1988, it is old yes, but let a english car try to get that old,
vauxhall is the same catogory as a VW and after 10 year Vauxhall is just rotting like hell just like the German opel's that's trash too
How often do you have to replace head gaskets on these things because i have one and these cars like to run a little wamer than normal I dont want to blow a head gasket
Man I love my Rado.... It's the first car I've owned for a whole year and I'm still not bored... I'd rather cram 5 pushchairs, 6 kids a wife and 2 dogs in the thing than sell it.
My VR6 Storm was mint and I sold it for 5 grand. The head gasket on a VR6 is 13 hours labour so quite a big job. Never had any problems with mine and he should of walked away the minute the RAC bloke said it wasn't kosher
I was told the 2.9 VR6 engine is alot more delicate than the 2.8 version, piston wear probs and head gaskets. Fantastic looking and very fast cars though.
The only issue I ever heard of on the Corrado was the ABS light came on and it was dear to fix. Mine came on for a few weeks but seemed to right itself. Never heard of any problems with piston wear and with "only" 197 bhp from a 2.9 the engine isn't stressed enough for head gasket problems. If you look at the mileages on them on e-BAY then you'll see how solid they are. Quite fancy a new Scirrocco!!
It's the sensor telling you the anti-lock brakes aren't working which may or may not be a problem depending on your situation at the time! Should fail MOT if it's not working but you can always remove the bulb! Not recommended tho cos ur brakes won't work properly, altho didn't get the ABS engaged on mine that I recall. Glad you're enjoyin it, wish I still had mine it was without doubt the nicest I've ever seen. The Leon Cupra R is nice but I'm fancying a new Scirrocco!
I really dont believe anything mike has to say on the theroy of Vw in the late 80s. wernt they making a killing from the gti and wasnt everyone nicking the VW badge as pimped by beastie boys?
I'd have said the car is as seen, if the buyer wants to make an offer to take into account the head gasket then reduce the price, but every car has minor faults, you just accept that when buying second hand. Worlds most annoying buyer???!?!?
Seller did say he cleaned under the engine which I took to mean he cleaned under the bonnet but judging by the RAC report I think he did mean cleaning the oil leak from under the engine!
Sure is!!!! I wouldn't sell this guy a Reliant - he'd probably ring the RAC to check where the fourth wheel was!! I'd definitely show him the door!!! Totally agree mate - lol!!
WTF was the buyer expecting? Its an old car...its going to need some repairs. The buyer came to his own conclusions and backed out for stupid reasons. They didn't say why the RAC thought the headgasket needed to be replaced.
...he's got no reason to sell it - that pram excuse is exactly that. I bet I could fit a f*ck'n pram in my corrado. Just b*llocks - and that Andy bloke's a f*ck'n tit! RAC check? Found some crumbs down the seat so I'm not buying it...
ha ha i agree mate ive got a rado and a baby and i make the fuckin puschair fit.oh well he sounds like a complete fanny i bet his mrs said sell it and he said "o o but o ok then darling" faggot.

a7axl - so wrong - 45mph is the spoiler up speed.
Buyer did sound gay and seller did sound thick.
Seller probably had brain drain due to to fact he had to sell a much loved motor to pay for nappies. It's enough to make anyone sound thick!
Buyer may just be gay - nowt wrong with that.
Final point - One drop of oil does not make a bad motor.
How old is this clip? 8.5k for a Corrado! I would not sell mine but would be chuffed if offered over 5k
iposters 3 years ago
The spoiler comes up at 45mph on early models, and 56mph on later ones.
Agree on £8500 being silly money. I paid £750 for mine.
