For the Spider, you don't need to use the skyward strike, just hit it sideways, then it flips around, and then when its back is to you, you stab it.

I got stuck at that entrance door for so long! DX But after much trial and error, I learned that if you hit the green diamond in the middle of the door with a slingshot, it gives you a green rupee! Just wanted to give you a little secret. :3
