@jiminirvana I've been to each one and will agree with you. Last night i went to Lucha Libre Taco Shop and i'm still pissed about it. I got the surfin cali because of man vs food and other people saying it was good. OVERRATED. It wasn't filling and it didn't even taste that great it was average. For me Lolitas Cali Burrito on Bonita Rd is still the best.
@AllCricketTalk also debends which robertos you go to since they are a franchise now the one in belmont park pacific beach is the most disgusting thing i've tasted the one in chula vista 3rd avenue is awesome good
I saw this place on Man v Food back in the UK and just tried it out today! BBQ Beef ribs were mouth wateringly juicy and packed with flavor.. Bought the El Toro on the way out, something to look forward to tomorrow!! ;-D
My roommate told me about this place and I was surprised the line was long as hell. Like 20 minutes, but it was worth it. I never knew this place was featured on Man vs Food and it's only like 10 minutes away from my university. I should come here more!
California BBQ is low in quality, there isn't that much to choose from and most are nothing to brag about. Phil's sauce is tangy which isn't really my type of BBQ sauce.
Head down to Croom's which is located in Chula Vista. The BBQ there is fierce, the BBQ sauce there is more sweet and spicey which is how I like it. Check out the location on yelp, they're sauce is crack!
@cRs93318 Crooms catering on H is awesome bbq but the meat is much better at phil's..I do agree bout the bbq sauce from crooms tho..that shit is delicious
