As for 5 itself, the script, story, and characters were far superior to 4.

Um, Wesker has always been pretty dumb. He NEVER takes the opportunity in ANY of the main games to kill Chris when he has the chance. He's "spazzed out" before 5. Wesker's just been a villain made of cliches is all he's ever been.

Also, Chris doesn't take steroids. And if you're talking about RE4 Leon, Chris is WAY better than him. RE4 Leon was nothing but annoying.

And how the hell is 5's plot like 4's?

Wesker had the perfect opportunity to off Chris when he meets him on Rockfort and then again when he knows he's in Siberia in 2003.

And Resident Evil in GENERAL is a bad sci-fi movie other than rare exceptions like CV and Remake that are actually well done story-wise. 4's just the worst.

Wesker had no intention of Chris getting off Rockfort. It wasn't until the Antartic when he AND Chris both met up with Alexia that he left Chris to fight her. As for T.A.L.O.S., Wesker could have easily gone out afterwards and just annihilated Chris and the crew. Their relationship goes beyond just dealing with Umbrella.

As for re4 and 5 both main plots were a very big piece of bullshit, but in re4 we have a cool background with a mysterious boss wesker (now that was at least decent), so cool and calm, not that hysteric guy of re5. Now re0-re3 weren't bad sci fi plots, even Dark Legacy in UC was good. Even the beta re4 was cool.

Chris and Jill both realized Wesker took part in the Siberian incident and if he's the calculating all-superior genius you've been saying he is he would have just eliminated Chris long before 5 ever happened.

And 4 is complete crap. The story was the worst of the main games, it had the least relevance, and turned Leon into an ass.

As for the classics, yes, they were bad sci-fi plots. Just cause it's entertaining doesn't mean it's good quality.
