so basically find a square with only two candidates, see what happens if you hypothetically put it as one of the options, then the other and if both cause a square to have to be a number it's that number?

Pronouncing "sudoku" incorrectly doesn't inspire much confidence in your "expert" techniques for solving sudoku puzzles. It's pronounced "sooDOHkoo", not "sooDOOkoo".

you don't need strategies, you just solve it, its kinda obvious when you get to it.
