  • STOP BEING SO AFRAID TO CRY!!!! AS A GAY MAN I AM PROUD OF WHO I AM, STRAIGHT GUYS ARE SO AFRAID TO SHOW EMOTION AND IT IS JUST PLAIN STUPID AND DUMB, GAY GUYS WE DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH SHOWING EMOTION, IF YOU NEED TO CRY THEN CRY, HOLDING ALL OF YOUR FEELINGS IN IS NOT HEALTHY AT ALL

  • @medicalterrylove2 Just because you're gay doesn't mean you get to bash straights for not crying. Worry about yourself and you're own emotions. And then you wonder why you get made fun of and/or harassed.

  • @SirhcOltnam LISTEN TO ME YOU UNEDUCATED CUNT!!!! i was not bashing straight men i was simply telling the truth (: BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! so shut your fucking mouth and keep it moving, if you did not agree with my comment you should of ignored it, my comment must of had a impact on your sorry ass. what's the matter??? can't handle the truth???? you will get over it (: i could care less about your feelings or anybody else feelings, i tell the truth, i don't care about what people think of me.

  • @medicalterrylove2 disappointing...

  • Wheel also lost Charley (can't remember last name) recently too. He had been announcer there for quite awhile.

  • I'll ask again: What makes him a Nazi? What has he done or said?

  • @jtnoodle

Ignore him with a name like fuck192ass, he's never been laid. Well, except for the little circle jerks with his nerd buddies and when they teabag each other.

And jtnoodle, you're absolutely right. The Nazis were aligned with the liberal party. Don't try to show him the truth, lefties are dumber than rocks anyway. (sorry to rocks)

  • @fuck192ass @fuck192ass That's a myth which has been perpetuated by the left for decades. Hitler was a leftist through and through, and obviously a National Socialist. There was nothing "conservative" about him or the Nazi party. They're dictatorial intolerance was rivaled only by Mussolini and Stalin.

  • @fuck192ass That's a myth which has been perpetuated by the left for decades. Hitler was a leftist through and through, and obviously a National Socialist. There was nothing "conservative" about him or the Nazi party. They're dictatorial intolerance was rivaled only by Mussolini and Stalin. Obama, and the current leftists have far more in common with Hitler and National Socialism than Pat Sajak. The day I hear him calling for the taking over of private industry, that's the day I call him a Nazi.

  • @fuck192ass What makes him a nazi? Technically, you really couldn't be a true nazi and a true conservative simultaneously. Generally, The two are opposed to each other.

  • Best known as the Announcer of Tattletales and The $25,000/$100,000 Pyramid.

  • why did they applaud?

  • @1939PlymouthRatRod2 Me neither. He sounds so unexcitable. They should never have hired him.

  • Did Pat do this same thing for Charlie too? If so, could somebody please post it?

That speech was very moving; you don't often see emotion like that from Pat :/

  • Jim Thornton (who has been subbing from time to time after Charlie O'Donnell's death) has been named the new announcer on "Wheel of Fortune".

  • cool story bro

  • PAT IS SO YOUNG!

  • Pat needs the comfort of a Vanna BJ

  • @Razersun after reading your stupid post, your life is a failure..please end it.

  • @sickandtiredofmorons

After she is done with Pat it sounds like you could use one too.

  • @Razersun Hasta la vista, troll!

  • @Razersun That is not funny at all!!! Just stop this nonsense!!

  • Wow!

  • 4 people spun a "Bankrupt"

  • I heard there will be a taped tribute on tonight's show. Can only imagine he and Vanna had an understandably tough time getting through it. RIP Charlie.

  • I think Rich Fields should be the new WoF announcer now that he's been fired from TPIR.

  • @MegastarLV he was fired from TPIR? I did not know that I was wondering why I did not hear his voice!

  • @shsbluejayforever06 Yep, he was fired indeed. It was TPIR's executive producer Mike Richards who whammied him out of the show. Richards was looking for an announcer who has experience in improv comedy, and if you've watched the show recently, all the guest announcers they've had so far have been acting as announcers rather than being announcers. He fired someone who has experience in announcing, & wants to hire someone who has experience in improv comedy, which obviously ruins the show.

  • @MegastarLV Really that is too bad! I liked Rich Fields!

  • @MegastarLV major shame too, those new rotating announcers just aren't fun to listen to and they sound awful. TPIR went slowly downhill after Rod Roddy died and now that Bob Barker and Rich Fields are gone, i rarely watch it. I can only imagine how far downhill WoF will be if either Pat Sajak or Vanna White leaves.

  • Now Charlie O'Donnell (1932-2010) has died. He's in heaven with Jack Clark (1925-1988).

    R.I.P. to you both.

  • Charlie O'Donnell died today (Nov. 1, 2010). I hope he gets on on-air tribute like Jack Clark did

  • @bartmeg313 he did, but they did it at the end of that week's show, When Johnny Gilbert(The Voice Of JEOPARDY!) filled in.

  • @rivera5b I wanna see dat.

  • RIP Charlie O'Donnell :'( 11.1.2K10

  • RIP Charlie O'Donnell.

  • Pat did this on both NBC daytime and Syndicated Nighttime.

  • did they use this same clip of Pat's speech on both the Daytime and Syndicated versions of the show?

  • @Disneydanny I don't know if they did it on the daytime version because the daytime version still used the curtain because they still did shopping.

  • See bob barker that is how you pay tribute to someone

  • Well said, Pat! I miss Jack Clark, too. Seems like when every one of these announcers/game show hosts die, a part of me dies along with them.

    R.I.P. Johnny Olson...1910-1985

    R.I.P. Jack Clark...1925-1988

    R.I.P. Rod Roddy...1937-2003

    R.I.P. Gene Wood...1925-2004

    R.I.P. Bill Cullen...1920-1990

    R.I.P. Bert Convy...1933-1991

    R.I.P. Gene Rayburn...1917-1999

Every one of these individuals was a class act & will never be replaced!

    Rest In Peace, Gentlemen.

  • @ChihuahuaboyDH Don't forget Jack Narz.

  • @WheelWatcher12345 Yes, how could I forget Jack Narz...R.I.P....1922-2007!

Brother of Jim Narz (a.k.a. Tom Kennedy)...1927-Present.

  • @ChihuahuaboyDH It's allright :D

  • @ChihuahuaboyDH Also remember R.I.P. Allen Ludden...1917-1981

    R.I.P. Jack Barry...1918-1984

    R.I.P. Peter Tomarken...1942-2006

  • @TheFrankenstein72 Bill Cullen 1920-1990.

  • @ChihuahuaboyDH Not to mention Jack Barry (1917-1984), Johnny Jacobs (d1982), Bob Clayton (d1979), Jack Narz (d2008), Hal March (d1970), Allen Ludden (d1981), Art James (d. unknown), the announcer that did most of the Heatter-Quigley shows, who was he, aww yes! Kenny Williams (d1984), and there's Bobby Van, Dick Martin, man the list goes on and on and if there is a game show host heaven, then you know they got a hell of a show up there! yeah!yeah!

  • @meyerj75 If you work at that place...you are DOOMED lol

  • @meyerj75 Art James died in 2004, just two months before Gene Wood.

  • @ChihuahuaboyDH Where's Allen Ludden? And Ray Combs?

  • @ChihuahuaboyDH and Charlie O'Donnell, can't forget him. R.I.P. (1932-2010)

  • @jhzenor61481 Yes, I acknowledged Charlie O'Donnell's death in a separate post here. When I posted mention of Jack Clark's death a while back in various posts, Charlie O was still alive. Thanks for your acknowledgement, nonetheless!

    R.I.P., Jack Clark & Charlie O'Donnell.

  • @ChihuahuaboyDH No problem buddy!

  • The world lost an announcing legend when Jack Clark passed away.

I'll bet Pat shed a few tears during the commercial break.

First, there was Johnny Olson's death...1910-1985

    Then, Jack Clark passed away...1925-1988

    Later, Rod Roddy passed away...1937-2003

You will all be sorely missed for eternity.

    Rest In Peace, Gentlemen.

  • I'd love to know the four robots who voted down this clip. They are probably looking for puppies to kick.....

  • @Freenetnow ...Not to mention a few kittens as well.

  • I read that Jack Clark died of bone cancer, and he was 62 (almost 63). I don't think it was quite his time to die, but it wasn't far from the right time.

  • @cbsteffen The right time is never.

  • @Aphradonis What do you mean? We all have to die. Nothing lasts forever.

  • @cbsteffen /watch?v=8iYpxRXlboQ

  • why does pat shake his head side to side so much while he talks?

  • Pat and Vanna both make six million dollars a year and work 39 days a year. Great work if you can get it!

  • how old was jack clark when we passed away

  • @sjfinchum1 he was 62 years old

  • R.I.P Jack Clark

  • Pat Sajak trying not to cry on camera........so sad.

  • all ur comment rating r belong to jack

  • R*I*P Jack

  • Is he the same person who played for the Cardinals & Yankees in the mid 80's?

  • @lincasman - Nope...that Jack Clark is alive and well.

  • @lincasman, you also forgot to ad Jack Clark played for the San Francisco Giants, but NO, this is NOT him, THIS Jack Clark was an announcer for the game show Wheel Of Fortune

  • And Host of "The Crosswits."

  • @Getrealpeeps He also announced CBS's 'The $10,000 Pyramid'.

  • Jack Clark died of bone tumor he was dianogsed with it in 1988

  • We miss Jack Clark

  • how did jack clark died tho?

  • Bone cancer. :-(

  • did he mentioned ab this on the daytime version and any other game shows hosts mentioned ab it too during that time?

  • Sounded like Pat was about to cry.

  • i accidentally gave you minus one, but i meant to give you plus one.

  • Comment removed

  • there i gave him plus 1 for you HEHEHE

  • @BenJabituya is that suppose to be a bad thing if he was about to cry?

  • @BenJabituya He was acting..Im sure he felt sorrow..but he was not about to cry.

  • @MPL029 How do you know?

  • In my opinion, I believe both Jack Clark and Art James, also deceased, were the two most successful game show personalities in terms of both hosting and announcing for their announcing. RIP Art, Jack, and to all other late great game personalities (hosts, announcers, panelists, producers) too numerous to mention.

  • Classy and very nicely said, Pat.

  • What are they going to do when Charlie dies, if the show's still going on by that time?

  • Comment removed

  • They're both getting up there in years. Johnny's 84 and Charlie's 76. There's a chance Johnny might go before Charlie.

  • Not necessairly. CBS Television Distribution and Sony Pictures could always recruit or borrow Rich Fields (The Price is Right) or Burton Richardson (Family Feud) until they get somebody perfect for the part.

  • They just lost their wardrobe consultant Alan Mills. Pat tried to fight back tears when he mentioned it.

Just think when Charlie dies, Pat will be doing it again.

  • @samsticka Hopefully that won't be for a WHILE!

  • @SuperGamer7 It just did unfortunately. Charlie died earlier today.

  • This was like The Price Is Right losing Johnny Olson & Rod Roddy.

  • i disagree Charlie was the original announcer and Jack took over for him for a few years. Charlie was a far better announcer than Jack who was quite boring in my opinion.

  • @mannysdaman I disagree, I find Jack Clark to have just the right enthusiasm for the job without sounding pretensious. Charlie O'Donnell, on the other hand, was frequently too loud and too bombastic. When it comes to announcing, Jack Clark is a Jack Harrell, while Charlie O'Donnell is a Curt Chaplin.

  • @pooka5472 For those of you who are wondering who Jack Harrell and Curt Chaplin are, they're the announcers on "The People's Court." Chaplin announces for the current Marilyn Milian version, while Harrell announced for the original Joseph Wapner version.

  • What a wonderful tribute! Jack Clark, along with Allen Ludden, Gene Rayburn, and Bill Cullen, are very sadly missed. These men had such talent, class, charm, and wit; and there will be nobody else like them again.

  • That tribute is amazing RIP Jack.

  • What About Ray Combs?

  • You also forgot to mention Peter Tomarken & Bert Convy.

  • thanks for shareing pat

  • WheelManiac posted the entire thing. Yay!

  • R.I.P

  • Wait, is this the same Jack Clark who competed in the CS game show hosts tournament?

  • yes

  • I'm so glad I found this video! Jack Clark was my grandpa. I didn't know they had so many videos of him online!

Thank you so much for posting this.

  • seriously? he was your granddad?

  • Ya, on my mom's side. I never got to meet him though. He died a few months before I was born.

  • You don't say. What a twisted twist of fate.

  • who is mg kelly

  • M.G. Kelly became Wheel's announcer following Jack's death. Some time later Charlie O'Donnell succeeded M.G. and has been announcer for Wheel since then.

  • r.i.p. jack!

  • he died of bone cancer R.I.P jack!

  • What was the cause of his death?

  • That was a great speech.

  • That was so sweet of Pat.

  • yes he was, gshowguy. But he only lasted one season before they brought back Charlie O'Donnell (I hope I spelled his last name right).

  • Don't worry man, your spelling is right on the money!

  • And let us not forget the great(and cruelly underrated) Jay Stewart. not only was he Monty Hall's sidekick and comic foil for 14 years on the original LMAD he was the voice of Barry/Enright for most of the late 70's and early 80's and was the announcer on Sale of the century (until Don Morrow took over) and Scrabble (until 1986) He even subbed for Gene Wood on the original Card Sharks. He, Jack ,Johnny O ,Kenny Willams and all aforementioned who have left us are sorely sorely missed.

  • I think MG Kelly was the announcer at the time of this episode, correct?

  • Johnny Gilbert from Jeopardy! also subbed with MG Kelly untill Charlie O'Donnell came back.

  • Pat is such a great guy!

  • English translation please?

  • But certainly!!!the Brief and easy sentences too much to guess in your american edition. From us in Italy they are long and they are of the real sentences as titles of songs, proverbs, said popular. These brief sentences the faccamos when they award the 500 € to turn the wheel first x.

Then the final sentences are very difficult and nobody has almost succeeded there in guessing

  • Oh...so does that mean that Italy is awesome then?

  • This was said on the daytime and nighttime show.

  • Charlie O is still going strong, more than 40 years after he was the voice behind the scenes on Bandstand. Amazing. Too bad Jack Clark, Gene Wood, Rod Roddy, Johnny O, and Bob Clayton are no longer with us. Hope they're playing along with Bill Cullen, Gene Rayburn, and Jack Barry, among others.

  • Plus don't forget Johnny Gilbert! Is going strong with Jeopardy!

  • Comment removed

  • you can also add in Kenny Williams (the voice of many of the Merill Heatter-Bob Quigley Shows of the '60 and '70s) and Art James.

  • technically Rod Roddy's wasn't while airing he had actually left the show about 2 months (as I recall) before his death.

  • If memory serves me right, Rod showed up on camera during the Season 32 premiere back in September. (His death, of course, came one month later)

  • Was it just me, or was Pat about to cry towards the end?
