My great-grandfather, G E Wright, wrote this song. This brought tears to my eyes as I remembered Papaw Wright sitiing in a chair singing this at church. He was so old that he had to sit but he was still singing. When he came to the words, "reached down his hands", he would scoop his hands towards the floor. He was a big man so when he scooped he could reach the floor. GREAT MEMORIES. I thank God for my Christian heritage.
