@tony685 You are absolutely correct! I'm sitting here listening to these songs and thinking of my mother. She loved Ricky Van Shelton. Don't forget Earl Thomas Conley too. What great voices they all had. I still love country music but these were truly the best years.

Ricky Van Shelton was THE best male country music singer of late 80's and early 90 's......and would probably still making music instead of writing kids books , but alcohol was his demon...then he got clean and never came back to music..............I have all of his songs and I wish he was still touring...Love him

@GREEN07131962 It is so sad that alcohol ended his career. He was the best and I'll always love him and know that he has the best voice of anyone. I've been a fan since 1986. No one holds a candle to him.
