The last battle actually is easy if you use the known cheat, which is to just keep pressing both action buttons at the same time. If you did that when an action was expected, the game would assume the correct action, and there was no penalty for an action when nothing was yet expected (like you got in dragons lair.). So you could just double press through the scene and never hang. I used to finish this game in the arcade and I never did learn the last fight scene, there was no need to learn it.

shame it was never ported to home systems. a sega saturn arcade gears release was on it's way, but they canceled it.
