  • wat kind of dirt are you useong....i thought they were desert animals cuz i have sadn in my tank

  • @hugeelmofan first off please dont use sand... it can cause impaction... go to the pet store and buy a reptile carpet, or use a paper towel. som people also use tile. and they are actually not dessert animals. they are from pakistans foothilss... they live on clay and during the days they burrow underground... hope that helps check out my channel for more info...

  • Omg watch my vids and pls supscribe

  • boniva!!!

  • do they do good on sand?

  • @TrueOGkush no they cant be on sand they come from the desert and the desert is just rocks barely any sand. they can die from the sand no mattter what anyones tells you sand is bad

  • lol judge alex or something in the backround lmfao

  • how many geckos do you have

  • WOW! Looks like fun. They have a great life :)

  • Yes I agree nice setup but just doesn't look like a good setup for a leopard gecko... Check mine out

  • AWESOME settup, but Leos aren't supposed to have much moisture (from the soil) in their habitat EXEPT for their hide, and that really should be made from repti moss and something else to keep it moist like water.

  • wow what size tank is that

  • plz tell me quickly where you got the stone wall in back!!!!

  • was their realy a boniva comercial on

  • Comment removed

  • Nice

  • i made it out of styrofoam grout, paint and sealant ..

  • where did you get that awesome huge cave thingy?

  • Nice set up, if the geckos enjoy it and are healthy and well, then it's all good.

Check out my custom leopard gecko viv

  • do people just come on here to bitch, this tank ROCKS, stop writing lame ass comments and go tend to your leos

  • @leodarep thank you!! :)

  • @leodarep the tank rocks :O !!!!!

  • @leodarep ya seriously this is like 10 times better than my tank im takin advise off this vid

  • Nice set up (:

  • They're livin' the highlife.

  • dam i wish i was one of your leos

  • Thats pretty awesome

  • god damit..... well now i feel like my setup is shitty :P

  • (just subscribed) how many gallons is that tank and length/with? Sorry bout all these posts and Qs.

  • @thexbox1801 im not too sure exactly how many gallons i think its roughly a 70 gallon.. its pretty big.. its like 3 feet long, 2 feet wide and a foot and a half high

  • How many leos are in there also?

  • @thexbox1801 i have four females in there.

  • nice setup. But with the dirt and wood chips wont your tank get to humid because leos are desert species.

  • my lizards dont like pinkies, i gut load all my mealworms and super worms before i feed them to my lizards, i give them veggies, fruits, oatmeal, end pieces of bread and potato chunks for water!!

  • are you aware they are from the desert

  • Looks very nice...can it be cleaned as quickly as paper towels?

  • Nice :) Thumb up

  • "I still got osteoporosis."

  • Soil is bad my friends leo died because it choked on a peice so try reptile carpet

  • i dont no about u peeps but i think it looks very good the geckos are healthy and happy and that is the most important thing

  • your gecko looks just like mine lol.

  • a leopard gecko is a desert time and also cold blooded all tht moisture can keep it cold and die

  • not so much kid

  • wow isnt thaat amazing a bunch of rocks and potting soil with contaniers with a t.v. in the background yep amazing for sure one of a kind i so wish mine was that great

change your title to: GECKO HELL

  • wen i get another cage for my gecko im so decking it out.

  • Way to crowded. Keep it simple but have some personality. You only need a water dish, a cave, a thing of eco carpet or sand and maybe a log. Thats what i have. My gecko is as happy as can be. This is just a tip.

  • wow your right u do have an amazing cage!!!!!!!!!!! i wish me gecko had a cage that amazing.......i have a question i have a gecko and i have no idea if its a boy or a girl...can u please tell me how i can tell them apart?

  • this is really cool! We have sand and tile in our tank but we want to plant some live plants so I'm thinking about using soil and maybe some sand over top (for looks mostly) and then we can plant succulents and things around. What do you think?

  • Wow that is something else! Can you recommend a substrate that is safe & approved for leo's? I don't like repti-carpet and I would like a sand-like substrate.

Also, what is that you have used in the back? It looks so much better than a glass panel!

  • the only thing i enjoyed was the commercials in the background no offense there was to much crap in the tank

  • hey guys do you wana know how to make the best humidity hide then message my channel asking me and ill tell you it will cost you nothing. and its grate 4 sheding!!!

  • They look amazingly happy, so who cares what people say in the comments.

  • @Frozenmind32 wow how do you know they're happy you speak lizard or summthin

i mean srsly just cause they're walking walking around doesnt mean they like it

  • @bleepokemon22 WOW, I doubt you speak lizard, so how do you know they're NOT????? get a life and quit posting negatives hater.

  • @bleepokemon22 Yeah..Infact, Geckos usually sleep / hide undersomthing (they must have something to hide in!)..Not walking around :P . Except during the night that is.

  • This would be the perfect set up for anything other than leopard geckos. They're desert animals, not rainforest.

  • thats coooool

  • Even though it looks very nice, you actually gave more hideing spots to the crickets then the leos. Crickets can get into small areas and die causeing unwanted bacteria that can get your leos sick. Another thing is the soil your using holds moisture and leos come from dry arid desserts, on top of that you have potted plants also, that's even more moisture in the tank, that could be why they are so sluggish. Cleaning must be a bitch, huh? Awsome try though, good luck with them.

  • for one i dont feed my lizards crickets, i only feed them super worms and meal worms in a container. also look at new vids i have tile substrate. other than in the one corner where my lizards like to dig and poop there if i dont give them the soil they will poop in the moist hides.

  • @lilmisstasha22 Geckos require a varied diet, meal worms and superworms will not provide your lizard with the nutrition he requires.

  • @cichlid62

they dont really come from desserts, just dry, rocky areas

  • @cichlid62 it wouldn't be a problem for me beacuse, i hand feed my leopard geckos cause they are to lazy to hunt. lol

  • @cichlid62 quit bitching

  • @cichlid62 thats why i always belive its better to twaeser feed

  • @cichlid62 yes one of my leos got diarrhea from lost crickets for a little while, she doesnt have diarrhea anymore

  • @cichlid62 or you give meal worms, in a special formed dish like me, the meal worms stay in the dish and the leopards can get to them easily

  • @barrowscasper12 That would actually be better.

  • @barrowscasper12 You know something? Your set up would look even more amazing if it had those bright yellow and orange carrot tail leopard geckos, they would stand out more. The more I see the clip the more I like it though.

  • It looks really nice, it's just not ideal for that type of lizard. I would have a look around on here at other peoples set-ups. I'm yet to get my first lizard (a leopard gecko) so I'm doing my research. It seems whilst these things may not affect the geckos now there is a chance it can in the future. And Geckos live on slabs from what I've been told so sand useless too. Reptile carpet looks to be the best and is what I'm going to use once my baby grows up.

  • i stil have ostiosprosis and now i take boniva

  • hahaahahaha!!!!!! in the beginning :)

  • yeh thats the first thing i heard so i just put it on for no reason

  • for one its not on soil nemore they have tile substrate. i uploaded a vid a while back called Leopard gecko enclosure. Look it up. I've had my leos for years with no problems, I'm on multiple reptile forums and no one says anything about how my tank is. Most of my leos choose to sleep under the fake plants, they love climbing on it ect ect. All my leos are big, and plump ill do a new vid on JUST my leos so u can see how healthy they r. I have other tanks with paper towel, thats jus the

  • @lilmisstasha22

That right there you just explained just means, you should know better. Don't get me wrong You didn't make a bad or ugly set up, personally, I like it, what you did wrong was putting the wrong reptile for this enclosure. And by the way for the other comments, the white things in the soil is not fertilizer, it vermiculite and it's used to hold moisture in the soil. Just in case.

  • wtf are they doing on potting soil? Horible! use paper towel or repticarpet. it doesnt matter if the humidity is low, its still a loose substrate that can be ingested and i see it has fertilizer, which could easily kill them. plz they're desert lizards! why did u waste money on a rainforest kit?

  • i dont know how fake plants a styrofoam rock wall and tile is bad for my leo.. maybe i should put my leos in 10 gallon tanks with deli cup containers and paper towel. would that be better for it?! My leos are all HEALTHY, i take them all to the vet, which i bet most people dont.. all my leos have everything they need. my vet has said my geckos are perfectly healthy, so i dotn know what your talking about. if you dont like my tank, dont watch my vids.

  • I dont agree with deli cups and paper towels lol, I mean my tank is half sand. Just for one thing there is too many of plants. For animals, planted areas signify cooler and humidor,, which may or may not confuse the animal though you stated the stats of your tank are perfect. Also, what substrate is that? It looks like soil and rock or small woodchips(I could be wrong there) I do believe that you say your geckos are healthy, its just a matter whether they will stay happy, hence live longer.

  • Other than that Styrofoam and whatever else is fine :) As a fellow reptile caretaker, I dont see why a bit of constructive criticism is a problem for you. We're just trying to help is all. I wouldnt want to live in a world where noone gives a shit and lets me do whatever I want, you know? Well, take care, you and your geckos :)

  • Theprophets got it, you don't. Please take what he said in, and help your geckos out

  • Even though it is your pet, lilmisstasha, pets do have feelings and have the ability to feel uncomfortable in its environment. Your tank is beautiful but whether its right for a leopard gecko is questionable, regardless of humidity status and so on. Its the contents within that may make it feel unnatural. If you prefer a tropical setup, may I suggest day geckos or crested geckos? Theyre both beautiful.

  • ommmmggggggggg ppl should seriiously read a few comments before they comment - i've said a million times THEY ARE FAKE PLANTS.. RELAX.. HUMIDITY IS NOT HIGH.. THE TANK IS PERFECT .. i rather have my tank the wa y it is then a bunch of desert plants, I dont ,like the desert look so i did this, and im still giving them the humidity and temp. they need.

  • You do know that Leos are a desert dwelling species

  • it all depends on the temperature the heat mat is putting out. If the temps are at 90-92 degrees F then you wont need a heat bulb but if its lower than that you should get one... leopard geckos need more ground heat so having a heat mat is very important for leos.

  • will i need a heat bulb or will i be ok with a heat matt?

  • are those real plants

  • no there not

  • Leopard geckos are frm the desert this is more like a tropical gecko setup

  • Comment removed

  • looks way to tropical and in the info thing it said your gonna use wood chips for them??? thats so stupid use sand or repi carpet

  • its easy, i use fake plants, have water only in one hide and in the water bowl. I also have a dehumidifier jus cuz I live in an old house with lots of humidity. It stays at 30-40% 40 in the winter.

  • how do you keep humidity down? like, more heat?

  • looks to tropical

  • how did u make the backround/hide??

  • the bedding i use is repti bark it works awsome its to big for them to swallo and its good looking so pretty much its good all around

  • you need to do something about the bedding or you are going to end up killing your leo i want you to google IMPACTION XD

  • @herpman12 no they dont. u can put them on whatever the hell you want. its not like your gecko knows what his natural habitat is like. hes bred in captivity and hell just go with the flow of whatever u put in there

  • my tank never gets over 30% humidity!!!! i also have all fake plants!

  • I dont know. Ive been using some superfine, safe sand in my tank for about 8 months and my geckos love it and are in good health with HUGE tails

  • noo sand is really really bad for leos - I'm actually going to put this sandy colored tile!! I jus gotta wait for my uncle to come over with his tile cutter - I have 6 20-40 gallon aquariums in the other room too so right now I"m building a rack system with aquariums!!! its going to look incredible! :D I'll post as soon as I'm finished!!

  • nice habitat i enjoy it perfect for leos but maybe u could like put in a lil sand like half dirt half sand then if they like the sand more switch to the sand :)

  • your not very intelligent!!! the habitat is find if the temps and humidity is right for leos... leos natural habitat is under trees, adn rocks. my leos are perfectly happy and healthy = how big is your tank!!

  • actually the live in the desert inside caves with high humidity rarely coming out they only come out when the tempertures are perfect and it is night time
