I like to think that this is some sort of flash-forward. Set 5 or 6 years after the end of the series, Jesse is in California or something as the successful creator of this animated TV show, secretly based on his "real-life" experiences.

Walt is... elsewhere, but Jesse seems to fondly remember him based on his character being the team leader.
