Amer , I no u say eat b4 Wk out do u include fats b4 I no in 1 ov ur blogs u say good fats gives us energy , but somewere else I've read fat slow s digestion , I no no fats post Wk out for that reason , but not sure b4 with this slowing digestion down ? , keep up the great vids ur a great inspiration .
@dazc699 I do not consume fats before a workout but they are a source of energy as well, just not ideal pre workout. Exactly they do slow down the digestion process which is not ideal before a workout.
Hey Amer, besides BCAAs and water, what do you recommend drinking during a workout? I'm mean, in the off-season... Like a carb drink... would maltdextrin intra-workout be a bad choice? Thanks
once i hit about 220 and start doing some really heavy weight then i'm guessing i probably would eat in the morning and work out and run on what i have in the tank.
but other than that i don't see or feel any danger in doing this, if you're a giant i recommend you eat all the time, if you're going from a tad chubby to jacked like myself, i recommend you try running on an empty stomach for about a month and see what you can achieve, if you don't like it - do exactly what the hammer tells you!
i eat after my workout, i run on an empty stomach, i've probably lost 10 lbs of fat and gained probably 10 lbs of muscle. i look different than i did 3 months ago and i always feel good after i run on an empty stomach. i guess i don't techniquelly run and workout on an empty stomach.. i do take a creatine shake about an hour before, other than that i like to plug myself with water and get hefty on the weights.
doing this i've gone from 55-85 lb dumbell presses in under 3 months.
i eat a bowl of pasta and a proeinshake 45 minutes before my workout.. you want to give it enough time to enter your blood stream, before your supplements do. Amer's the man, whoo kep it up!
@nitro2u2 i think you should listen to your body and try what works best for YOU. I tried working out on empty stomach before and it didnt work for me at all. First of all, im the type of person who is already damn hungry after waking up, so its really hard for me to not have breakfast before exercising. And second of all, i felt hungry all day long when i was exercising on empty stomach. As long as you feel comfortable doing it, then do it. But as for me it didnt work.
goal, body type, hormone levels ect. I know it words for rob, for some it does not work well, but it is not the healthiest way of doing things and that is my standpoint on it.I was not referring to which way is more effective :) have a great day

Does this depend on the individuals body type? Because I know, even Rob Riches does slow intensity cardio on an empty stomach!
